Background / History

Rescuing Rihito

Before meeting Itadori, Rihito Sato identifies him as a possible route to Gojo and Jujutsu High. Rihito knows that Itadori is still developing as a sorcerer, but hopes his connection to Gojo will provide protection from Mahito and access to training 5.

Itadori enters the story directly by breaking into Mahito’s Self-Embodiment of Perfection from outside. His intrusion interrupts Mahito’s attempt to kill the exhausted Rihito. Sukuna then wounds Mahito with an invisible slash, and the domain collapses; Itadori himself is bewildered by what happens 9.

After Rihito identifies Mahito as the murderer of three movie-theater students, Itadori attacks him. Mahito escapes by swelling and detonating his body before Itadori’s punch can finish him 9.

Welcoming a New Teammate

Learning about Junpei’s death and Rihito’s determination to exorcise Mahito, Itadori immediately offers to help Rihito enroll at Jujutsu High. He contacts Gojo, introduces Rihito to Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, and presents him as their future teammate 10.
