On one stretch of the high wall encircling the VIP district, four figures watched the battle.
"Hina has spotted the targets. Vice Admiral Gion, should we..."
Scanning their surroundings through binoculars, Hina spotted Baccarat and Dice on the roof of a nearby building.
She had meant to ask, "Should we capture them?" But then she saw Baccarat crying out toward Tesoro.
The conversation between Tesoro and Bondrewd flashed through Hina's mind. She left the question unfinished.
"...Phew-still no good. In this environment..."
Gion was trying to revive a Den Den Mushi. But it seemed completely drunk and refused to work.
"Leave them for now. They can't escape anyway. How we handle this will depend on... the final outcome."
Gion glanced in the direction Hina indicated and understood what she meant.
But the situation was indeed complicated. In Gion's experience, deciding what to do with Tesoro's crew was no longer up to the Navy.
"Hopefully Admiral Borsalino... can resolve this."
Knowing part of the "truth" about Bondrewd, Gion did not expect Kizaru and Shining to "deal with Bondrewd." She only hoped they could resolve the problem and calm things down.
Not far from them, Brook leaned his upper body over the stone railing along the wall's walkway, watching the fighting in the street below.
With Tesoro switching sides again, Brook's situation seemed to have become a little less dire.
"Whoa-that Bondrewd looks like he's about to do something!"
In the battle zone, Bondrewd suddenly launched a large-scale Transmutation, making Brook shout in alarm.
"Brook-don't jinx us!"
Perona floated beside him and poked his ribs with her umbrella.
When the Golden Tower collapsed, Shining had escorted them out of danger. Then, under Perona's control, a giant ghost had carried everyone up onto the wall.
"Hina thinks something's wrong."
