The chaotic battlefield in the sky was rapidly slipping into a style that did not belong to this world.

Now, above Gran Tesoro, it looked as though five "protagonist machines" were brawling in the middle of a battlefield between two forces of mass-produced units. It was like entering the "Gundam era."
Under the reflected light of the enormous searchlights, the Sky-Thunder's silver-white frame gleamed, standing out above all the rest.
"-Go down!"
The Golden Lion unleashed a Slash Wave imbued with Conqueror's Coating, but the silver machine dodged it effortlessly. It also seemed to scatter some kind of objects around itself.
Now that Tesoro was no longer an ally, the Golden Lion no longer needed to account for the Gold-Gold Fruit's effects. He cut loose completely, sending towering waves crashing down.
The torrents of seawater cascading from the sky forced Kizaru and Shining to dodge urgently. The Mechanical King's new form, however, had no fear of seawater. Brilliant green light flared across his back as he pierced the curtain of water, trailing sonic-boom clouds.
"Damn it! Of all the times-"
The Golden Lion, overflowing with fighting spirit, genuinely wanted a grand battle. But he also understood that this was two against three, and every opponent was an expert in aerial combat.
Without the enormous volumes of seawater he controlled to keep the two Logia users occupied, things would have been even worse.
If this were his final battle, the Golden Lion would have had no regrets. But having only just regained his "youth," that was another matter entirely.
He did not want things to end here. Bondrewd had promised that they would reach the summit of the world-that they would shoot down the gods.
