On the sectional sofa beside the tea corner, Sephiroth held his left forearm across his chest, forming an L with his right forearm.
He wasn't about to fire some sort of beam. He was merely propping up his chin and looking at everyone.
Tashigi lowered her head sheepishly. Even the reflection on her glasses failed to hide her faintly flushed cheeks. She pressed her palms together in a pleading gesture.
...How many enemies did you let slip past to warrant that face?
Even if you're begging... ahem.
As for the cause of the problem-
"Sephi~ I wanna go too~!"
Nami, dressed in a classic blue-and-white sailor uniform, had stars in her eyes-except her pupils had already turned into Beli symbols.
Actually, following her original course of development, Nami would have dressed much more boldly. Sephiroth's influence had given her a somewhat anime-inspired wardrobe instead.
"You're not exactly short on spending money..."
Never mind that Sephiroth had always followed a policy of raising them in comfort. Since the band formed, Nami had received plenty of her share of the earnings.
"That's different-it's a legendary treasure~!"
Nami wasn't remotely fond of fighting. She certainly wouldn't volunteer for an outing whose sole purpose was combat.
But if a "new map" or "treasure" was involved, her adventurous spirit would awaken.
She hopped straight onto the sofa beside Sephiroth.
The cushion bounced with a boing~, jostling Sephiroth so hard he nearly lost his grip on his chin.
"Waaah-"
Sephiroth first gave Nami a moderately firm flick on the forehead, then pulled her sailor cap down over her eyes.
