Ch. 204Pacifistas?

Sephiroth toured Vegapunk’s research facilities and learned how his abilities would support the development of clone soldiers and weapons. After Vegapunk explained the project’s limitations and goals, Sephiroth suggested calling the soldiers Pacifistas.

  • Vegapunk showed Sephiroth a laboratory where researchers tested human-modification technology on a pirate, and Sephiroth asked what work the agreement required of him.
  • At the weapons testing range, Vegapunk demonstrated a laser rifle and explained that he wanted Sephiroth to help develop weapons that could be integrated into clone soldiers.
  • Vegapunk showed Sephiroth unstable biological base bodies made using templates with beneficial mutations that could not be reliably inherited, including Whitebeard and Kaido.
  • Vegapunk explained that ordinary Giants could serve as templates for the first-generation clone warriors, whose combat strength would be enhanced using the Glint-Glint Fruit and Rumble-Rumble Fruit abilities.
  • When Vegapunk said he wanted his creations to protect ordinary people, Sephiroth suggested naming the soldiers Pacifistas, and Vegapunk accepted the name.

Ch. 205Alabasta

Sephiroth arrived in Alabasta with Yamato, Ulti, Baby 5, and the Knights to provide disaster relief amid a severe drought and a growing refugee crisis. After establishing a temporary base in Nanohana Town, he prepared to travel to the hardest-hit cities, Erumalu and Yuba, to meet Laki and expand relief efforts.

  • Sephiroth's flying church, the Red Tears, landed at Nanohana Town, where he and his companions drew attention from the port residents.

Ch. 206Princess Vivi up front

Sephiroth prepared to leave Nanohana for Erumalu while Baroque Works agents watched his hotel. When Vivi approached him under her alias Fifi, he recognized her and revealed that he knew her identity.

  • A group of Baroque Works Millions and Billions watched the hotel, and Ika sent Fifi to approach Sephiroth’s party.
  • Sephiroth sensed the watchers’ malice and told the Holy Knights to stay alert while he prepared to travel with Yamato, Ulti, and Baby 5.
  • Yamato, Ulti, and Baby 5 changed into desert outfits, and Sephiroth added cloaks before the party headed toward the harbor.
  • Vivi ran toward Sephiroth with hired thugs behind her, and Yamato frightened them off with a strike of her kanabo.
  • Sephiroth identified Fifi as Princess Vivi, surprising her, and told her not to underestimate his intelligence network.

Ch. 207Colonel Kujaku followed behind

Sephiroth agreed to help Vivi expose Baroque Works and aid Alabasta’s drought victims in exchange for an agreement like Dressrosa’s, while also proposing an engagement. As Babylon’s knights rescued a dying child in Erumalu, Colonel Kujaku arrived to search for the Great Angel.

  • Vivi explained how the drought and dance powder had turned the people against King Cobra, and revealed that she had infiltrated Baroque Works to uncover its role.
  • Yamato urged Sephiroth to help Vivi, and he made an agreement with her in exchange for Alabasta signing a pact similar to Dressrosa’s.
  • Vivi accepted Sephiroth’s terms, and he promised to deal with the mastermind, support disaster victims, and wait two years before their wedding.
  • A Holy Knight used a Cross Medal to remotely activate Bioelectric resuscitation and revive a dehydrated child in Erumalu.
  • Colonel Kujaku reached Erumalu and approached the Holy Knight, claiming she was looking for a missing friend.

  • Kujaku told a Holy Knight captain she was looking for a missing reporter as Sand Raiders approached, and Babylon's Knights deployed to intercept them.
  • Laki ordered the Knights to let some raiders escape, and they routed the attackers with their superior armor and weapons.
  • Kujaku met Laki on an abandoned tower, then introduced herself to Sephiroth as Vermilion Bird and asked Babylon for help finding her friend.
  • Laki explained to Sephiroth, Yamato, Vivi, and the others that the refugees were severely dehydrated because transporting freshwater was difficult.
  • Sephiroth evaporated seawater and controlled the resulting clouds, bringing rain to Erumalu as the refugees prayed and Vivi marveled at his power.

Ch. 209They captured an Emperor's right-hand man!?

Shura struggled to manage relief operations in Yuba’s harsh conditions as Sephiroth arrived and learned that his knights had captured several Baroque Works agents, including Mr. 3. After reuniting Vivi with Mr. Toto and learning that Koza and many young people had left Yuba, Sephiroth began making rain over the region.

  • Sephiroth arranged for Marianne to go to an orphanage in Titans and told the others that Crocodile was behind the Utopia Operation.
  • Kujaku questioned why Crocodile had waited so long to seize Alabasta, and Sephiroth said the party would go to Rain Dinners to confront him.
  • At Rain Dinners, Crocodile learned that the Great Angel had arrived to address the drought and that Mr. 3 had disappeared after entering the camp.

Ch. 211I'm supposed to take out the Great Angel?

Crocodile ordered Baroque Works agents to target the Great Angel while preparing to seize King Cobra, and Sephiroth organized a two-pronged operation to protect the king and confront Crocodile. The teams began their mission, with Sephiroth and Baby 5 entering Rainbase as Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine prepared to attack him.

  • Crocodile told Robin to send Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine after the Great Angel, with other Baroque Works pairs ready to destroy the refugee camp and intercept him if necessary.

  • Sephiroth entered Rainbase’s casino with Baby 5 and accepted Mikita’s invitation to follow her, while warning Baby 5 to stay safe.
  • Mikita tried to assassinate Sephiroth with a hidden Seastone Dagger, but he disarmed her and read her surface memories, learning Crocodile had headed for the Royal Capital with Robin and Mr. 2.
  • Sephiroth restrained Mikita with a Seastone collar and had his Artificial Angels pack her for transport, then hurried toward Baby 5.
  • Mr. 5 lured Baby 5 to the Atrium by claiming Sephiroth wanted to see her, and the two began fighting.
  • Baby 5 stopped firing when Mr. 5 shouted that he needed her, then shot him with an electromagnetic sniper rifle, blasting away his upper body.

Ch. 213I Bought You a Meal

Ch. 219A Deal with Robin

After Zephyr reacted furiously to Whitebeard II’s appointment as a Shichibukai, Sephiroth brought Robin to Sky Island and offered her a protected place in Babylon. Robin accepted a scholarly adviser role and bargained with Sephiroth for information about the other Poneglyphs, leaving their arrangement personal as well as political.

  • Zephyr confronted Sengoku, Garp, and Tsuru over the World Government appointing Whitebeard II as a Shichibukai, then stormed out and wrecked the office door.
  • Sephiroth brought Robin to the Golden Bell, where she studied its inscription and learned from him that the Poneglyph concerned Poseidon.
