In the Dragon Ball world, in an unknown universe, on Planet Vegeta.

That day, inside the Saiyan Royal Palace at the very heart of the planet, King Vegeta summoned every mid-class warrior on Planet Vegeta.

Their purpose, however, was to discuss what to do with an infant.

A Saiyan knelt before the throne and asked humbly, "Your Majesty, forgive my impertinence, but I heard you intend to send my son Broly to a frontier planet?"

"That's right," King Vegeta said from atop the dais.

"B-but Your Majesty, I heard my son's destination is a planet called Vampa. It's a barren wasteland! There's nothing there!"

"Your son's potential is exceptionally high. He may threaten the safety of our Saiyan race in the future. I'm merely exiling him, not taking his life. You should be thanking me, Paragus!"

"What?"

The Saiyan named Paragus rose to his feet and clenched his fists, his fury burning beyond control.

"Damn you, King Vegeta! You're jealous of my son's potential! You're doing this because you're afraid he'll threaten your son's position! You bastard..."

King Vegeta sneered. "So what? Your son was already sent away while we were talking!"

"What?" Paragus rushed to the window and looked outside in panic.

Yet there was no sign of a spaceship taking off from the launchpad outside.

Just then, a figure pushed the doors open and barged in. "Paragus, don't worry. I've already stopped Broly's ship."

"Y-you're..."

Paragus and everyone else in the palace stared at the newcomer in astonishment. King Vegeta even rose from his throne, his face full of fury. "Linx! You dare come back!"

The newcomer's name was Lin Chen. Of course, that had been his name in his previous life.

In this life, his name was Linx, and he was a young Saiyan warrior wanted by the authorities.

He was wanted because, after awakening to his transmigration into this body, Linx had abandoned the mission King Vegeta had assigned him and vanished for four whole years!

"Linx! Four years ago, you disobeyed my orders and fled without permission! Now you dare return! Have you come here to die?"

Lin Chen gritted his teeth and said, "I came to warn you! Frieza will come to wipe out us Saiyans before long. If we don't prepare now, all of Planet Vegeta will be destroyed!"

At his words, the hall suddenly fell silent. Every mid-class warrior present gaped, and even Paragus looked stunned.

A moment later, the hall erupted in laughter.

Everyone treated Lin Chen's warning as a joke.

What nonsense! They Saiyans were Lord Frieza's most trusted servants. Why would Lord Frieza wipe them out?

Lin Chen snorted. It was exactly as he had expected. Unless Bardock were here, probably not a single person would believe him.

But he had spent four whole years in the Dragon Ball world, living under an assumed identity elsewhere before finally returning to Planet Vegeta. He hadn't come back just to be mocked.

"All of you, shut up!" Lin Chen roared. Then he pointed at King Vegeta before the throne. "Every Saiyan must obey the king's commands! King Vegeta, since I can't convince them, I only need to convince you!"

"According to Saiyan tradition, I challenge your right to rule!"

"What?" King Vegeta's eyes widened. He thought he had misheard.

Lin Chen said, "Everyone knows you sit securely on that throne because your grandfather, Vegeta I, led the Saiyans to conquer the Tuffles and seize this planet."

"But according to our Saiyan traditions, the throne rightfully belongs to the strongest!"

"So I'm challenging you now. If I win, I'll become the new king of the Saiyans!"

As soon as Lin Chen finished, a mid-class warrior jumped forward. "How dare you! Linx, you dare disrespect King Vegeta! Fight me first!"

"Get out of my way! He's my only target!" Lin Chen pointed at King Vegeta. "Or are you afraid to accept my challenge?"

"Fool!"

Veins bulged on King Vegeta's forehead. "Linx, you're nothing but a low-class warrior, yet you dare challenge me? Fine. Very well! I accept your challenge! I'll show everyone what happens when you anger King Vegeta!"

"Hah!"

King Vegeta roared, unleashing his full power. He flew from before the throne and shot toward Lin Chen like an arrow.

But...

Bam!

Lin Chen stopped King Vegeta's fist with a single finger.

"D-damn it! How is this possible?"

Vegeta's expression changed drastically. He had put all his strength into that punch, yet he couldn't even overcome one of Lin Chen's fingers?

"I-I'm King Vegeta! The king of the Saiyans!"

King Vegeta quickly stepped back, gathered his energy in both hands, and hurled an energy blast at Linx with every ounce of his power.

Yet with a flick of his finger, Linx deflected the blast, sending it straight through the palace and up into the sky.

Boom!

The violent explosion drew the Saiyans around the palace over to watch.

"W-why?" King Vegeta stared at Lin Chen in disbelief.

Lin Chen's expression remained unchanged.

"I've been risking my life for this day for the past four years. How could a Saiyan who's spent all that time sitting comfortably on his throne possibly compare to me?"

"B-but your power level...?"

King Vegeta had been wearing his power-level scanner all along. The Scouter over his left eye had consistently shown that Lin Chen's power level was only two thousand.

"That thing can't measure instantaneous changes in power. I can control my energy now. My true power level is ten times yours!"

"T-ten times?"

Not only King Vegeta, but everyone else present drew a sharp breath.

If that were true, it was staggering!

A power level of one hundred thousand?

That would easily make him the strongest Saiyan alive!

How could Lin Chen, a mere low-class warrior, possess such power?

"N-no! Impossible! How could you have a power level of one hundred thousand? I don't believe it! I absolutely refuse to believe it..."

As King Vegeta shrieked, Lin Chen suddenly vanished from where he stood. The next instant, he appeared behind King Vegeta.

With just one punch, King Vegeta lost consciousness.

As King Vegeta fell to the floor, Lin Chen reached out and pulled off the Ring Necklace that symbolized his kingship.

Holding the necklace high, Lin Chen ascended to the throne that had belonged to King Vegeta.

"From today onward, I am the new king of the Saiyans!"

Four whole years since he had arrived in the Dragon Ball world! This moment had finally come.

Lin Chen knew he could finally begin the last step of his plan: kill Frieza and prevent Planet Vegeta's destruction!

He had done all this only because he had bonded with the strongest choice system when he first arrived in this world!

The first set of strongest choices the system had presented to Lin Chen was as follows:

Choice one: Defeat Frieza and prevent Planet Vegeta's destruction. Reward: legendary Saiyan bloodline.

Choice two: Defeat the Supreme Kai. Reward: Supreme Kai power.

Choice three: Defeat the God of Destruction and prevent Planet Vegeta's destruction. Reward: God of Destruction power.
