Lin Chen helped Mark win the World Martial Arts Tournament, trained with North Kai, and established a Saiyan tournament where Vegeta became champion before challenging Lin Chen. He then began collecting Super Dragon Balls across universes, arriving on Planet Sadala and learning that the Saiyans of Universe 6 had once shared a peaceful past with those of Universe 7.

• Lin Chen rigged Mark’s tournament path and secretly sent Goku out of the ring, making Mark the champion and earning Kami’s Magic from the system.
• Lin Chen arranged Goku and Chi-Chi’s wedding, where Goku reunited with Bardock and Gine, then brought Goku and the others to train with King Kai.
• Lin Chen learned Kaioken from North Kai, failed to combine it with Super Saiyan or learn the Spirit Bomb, then strengthened Goku and the others with Tree of Might fruit and Potential Unleashing.

Lin Chen survived Hit’s pursuit, then returned to a Universe 7 threatened by Cooler as Vegeta and Raditz challenged Goku on Earth. After learning the final Super Dragon Ball was in another timeline, Lin Chen prepared for the coming conflict by helping Tarble become a Super Saiyan God, but the same ritual did not transform him.

• Lin Chen faced Hit after Hit injured Renso, using transformations, energy blasts, and Time-Skip before escaping with Instant Transmission.
• A year later, Vegeta and Raditz went to Earth, where they took Bulma and Gohan and fought Goku and the Z Fighters until Bardock intervened and brought everyone back to West City.
• Vados revealed that the seventh Super Dragon Ball had likely fallen into another timeline, and Whis offered Lin Chen a chance to become a God of Destruction candidate.
• Lin Chen returned to Planet Vegeta, learned that Cooler’s forces were mobilizing, and told Bardock to let Vegeta and Raditz remain on Earth.
• Zuno told Lin Chen that the One-Star Ball was in parallel Timeline 228, and Lin Chen decided to travel there alone after reassuring his family about the Frost Demons threat.

Lin Chen trains Future Trunks to defeat Bojack, then helps reunite Earth’s fighters and destroy Cell in Timeline 228. Back in his own timeline, he meets Chronoa, brings Lazuli to Planet Vegeta, and learns that Cooler’s fleet is approaching Earth.

• Lin Chen arrived in Timeline 228, rescued Trunks, and learned that Cell and Bojack had devastated Earth, so he agreed to train Trunks to defeat Bojack’s gang.
• Lin Chen trained Trunks in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and developed his Black God form, while Trunks grew strong enough to defeat Bojack and his subordinates.
• After discovering Cell remained a threat, Lin Chen found North Kai and helped Trunks travel to New Namek, where Porunga revived Dende and the fallen Z Fighters.
• The fighters trained for Cell’s return, and when Cell arrived in his Lightning Form, Lin Chen, Gohan, Vegeta, both Trunks, and the others joined forces to defeat him.
• Shenron revived the victims of Cell and Bojack, and Lin Chen returned to his timeline, where Chronoa recruited him as a mercenary and gave him a Time Ring.
• Lin Chen brought Lazuli to Planet Vegeta, where Tarble told him Bardock was dead, while Cooler’s fleet set course for Earth.
• Goku, Vegeta, Raditz, and the Z Fighters gathered at Kami’s Lookout after sensing the approaching enemy, and Kami warned that it had likely killed billions.

Cooler’s attack devastated Earth, leaving Piccolo and several fighters dead before Broly’s rampage was stopped. On Namek, Lin Chen revived Piccolo and helped the survivors escape, while Ginyu’s battle power continued to rise and Piccolo gained Slug’s strength.

• Cooler invaded Earth, killed Chiaotzu, Tien Shinhan, Raditz, Piccolo, and Yamcha, and was eventually carried into space by Broly’s attack.
• Broly destroyed Cooler’s fleet and the United Kingdom’s First Army Group before Mr. Popo used the Tranquility Flute to calm him.
• Bulma and Son Goku’s group traveled to Namek to use its Dragon Balls, while Vegeta left separately to pursue his own wishes.
• Lin Chen learned that Ginyu had taken King Cold’s body and traveled to Namek, where he rescued Son Goku’s group from Shisami and the King Cold Force.
• Lin Chen gathered the Dragon Balls with Slug, who revived Piccolo and wished for the surviving Namekians and their dead to be sent to Earth.
• Ginyu confronted Lin Chen and revealed increasingly powerful transformations as Son Goku and the others fought the remaining King Cold Force soldiers.
• Slug empowered Piccolo and then fused his life force into him, raising Piccolo’s battle power to 21,000,000.
