Lin Chen defeated Ginyu, helped the survivors escape Namek, and used Super Shenron to create Dragon Balls before building the Galaxy Alliance and helping Broly control his power. Trunks then arrived from a parallel future and told Lin Chen how the Androids destroyed his world, leaving to settle matters there before returning for training.

• Lin Chen defeated Ginyu with Super Kaioken and Time-Skip, while Piccolo killed him with a Special Beam Cannon after learning that Ginyu had stolen King Cold’s body.
• Vegeta and Son Goku joined forces against Abo Kado, and Son Goku killed him before Lin Chen evacuated everyone from the collapsing Planet Namek.
• Lin Chen summoned Super Shenron and wished for the power to create Dragon Balls, then made his own set and used Shenron to revive the Namekians and others killed by King Cold Force, Cooler, and Broly.
• Moori moved the Namekians to a new home, while Lin Chen helped Son Goku reach Planet Yardrat and later commissioned Dr. Gero to build Metal Saibamen for the Galaxy Alliance.

• A purple-haired Saiyan boy arrived on Earth, and Lin Chen privately identified him as Trunks and learned that he came from a parallel future where Broly, Vegeta, and the Androids had devastated the Saiyan Empire.
• Trunks described how Dr. Gero’s Androids overthrew Vegeta and destroyed his world, then asked Lin Chen for help against them.
• Lin Chen declined to travel to Trunks’s world, demonstrated Super Saiyan 2, and told Trunks to return for training after settling matters there.

Lin Chen uncovered Dr. Gero’s alliance with the Big Gete Star and helped repel its attack on Planet Vegeta, though Dr. Gero escaped to pursue a new android. As Trunks trained with Lin Chen, Androids 16, 17, and 18 attacked Bulma’s family and overwhelmed Son Goku and Vegeta.

• Lin Chen discovered that Dr. Gero had allied with a duplicate version of himself, then fought off the androids and pursued the scientist as he escaped aboard a spaceship.
• Lin Chen and the Saiyans defeated the Big Gete Star’s Meta-Cooler invasion, while Shenron protected Planet Vegeta from Cooler and the Ultimate Meta-Coolers.
• Lin Chen and his allies attacked the Big Gete Star, where Android 32 transformed and absorbed energy, but Lin Chen destroyed him with Super Kaioken.
• Dr. Gero escaped in a Time Machine after using his counterpart as a decoy, and he vowed to return with a new ultimate Android.
• Lin Chen took Trunks to train with Broly for a year, while Son Goku revived the Saiyans killed in the attack on Planet Vegeta.
• Androids 16, 17, and 18 attacked Bulma at Capsule Corporation, and Son Goku and Vegeta fought them in the wilderness.

Cell arrived from another world, absorbed the Androids, and threatened Earth with the Cell Games. Lin Chen confronted him, but Cell’s power kept rising, leaving their fight unresolved.

• Piccolo fused with Kami and warned everyone about Cell, while Dr. Gero and Future Dr. Gero discovered that the secret base had been wrecked and its androids destroyed.
• Cell attacked Androids 17 and 18, but Lin Chen and Broly intervened, and Broly defeated Cell’s earlier forms before Lin Chen allowed him to absorb the Androids.
• Cell became Silver Cell, but Lin Chen used his time powers to overcome him, and a newly arrived Cell then absorbed Silver Cell and challenged Lin Chen to fight again in a week.
• Trunks and Krillin investigated the secret laboratory and brought its research data to Bulma, while Cell began absorbing people and announced the Cell Games.
• Cell held the Cell Games, easily defeated Vegeta and overwhelmed Goku, Gohan, Trunks, and Piccolo, until Lin Chen arrived and fought him.
• Cell became Golden Cell and struck Lin Chen, but Lin Chen returned in Half-Step Black God form and countered his attacks.
• Cell’s power surged past ten billion, and he nearly absorbed Lazuli before Lin Chen wounded him with the power of destruction, and Cell regenerated, grew stronger, and fired a Kamehameha at Lin Chen.

Lin Chen defeated Cell, then began repairing dangerous timelines while his family and allies faced new threats. The arc ended with Dabura draining Taro’s energy at the martial arts tournament and fleeing with it.

• Lin Chen survived Cell’s attack, unlocked divine power, and erased Cell with Destruction, while Mr. Satan took credit for defeating a Cell Junior and Trunks returned to his future.
• Whis recruited Broly to train as a God of Destruction Candidate, and Chronoa brought Lin Chen to the Time Nest to repair timelines corrupted by black energy.
• Lin Chen defeated a corrupted Broly in an alternate history, revived Videl, and learned that Son Goku, Vegeta, and the others had died fighting Majin Buu.
• The Saiyans fought Dr. Lychee’s Undead Warriors on Planet Vegeta, neutralized the Death Gas, and defeated Hatchiyack before the Dark Planet exploded.
• Lin Chen tried to divert Jiren from confronting Gicchin’s killer, but fought Jiren for seventy-two hours and returned to the Time Nest badly depleted.
• After Lin Chen spent five years recovering, Babidi and Dabura approached Earth, and a World’s Strongest Martial Arts Tournament brought the Z Fighters together.
• Shin revealed that Babidi had taken Majin Buu’s seal and planned to steal energy from the tournament, so the fighters let Lin Luo and Trunks act as bait.
• Dabura immobilized Taro at the tournament and drained his energy, then fled as Shin, Son Goku, and the others pursued him.
