Shu.
Ancient Shu had six commanderies in all, filled with towering mountains, precipitous cliffs, and sheer rock faces. Travel there had always been difficult.
To the southwest lay the four commanderies of Longyang, Langzhong, Eternal Prosperity, and Kui Gate, bordering Xikang and opening onto the Southern Border. They had rarely known peace through the ages. To the northeast lay Brocade Capital and Sword Pass, connected to Jing-Chu and blessed with the Great Ridge. These had always been quiet.
Lacquer Mountain stood at the center of Shu, connecting its ridges and gathering its myriad mountains. It severed the routes between the four southwestern commanderies and the two northeastern ones. Only cultivators at Qi Refining or above could travel freely.
Today, however, things had changed.
Within Longyang Commandery, Wu Light surged.
Palaces and towers stood upon the mountain ridges, ancient and imposing, colored in mysterious yellow. At their heart lay the Wei estate, from which a broad brown road emerged.
A reddish-gold imperial carriage moved slowly along the road, drawn by eight fine steeds. Divine generals held the reins, while stone men accompanied it on either side.
The majestic palace music of Central Earth resounded through the mountains. Earth gods and soil spirits emerged from time to time, bowing and kneeling as they cried out the sovereign's name.
Purple Mansion cultivators stood in attendance along both sides of the mysterious-yellow road, presenting treasures and bending in salute.
"Divine Magnetism Track Supervisor Guan Yi respectfully presents a pair of Emperor Xuan's divine mallets."
A refined-looking young man in a dark reddish-brown Daoist robe stepped forward, his expression solemn. Holding a pair of drum mallets, he stood beside the road and handed them to the stone men.
Each mallet was a foot long, colored in mysterious yellow, primitive and ancient. Images of Heaven-Earth Union
