Those rooted within are called [divine mechanism]; when the spirit departs, the mechanism ceases. Thus birds and beasts are mostly rooted within. Those rooted without are called [qi establishment]; when qi ceases, transformation ends. Thus grasses and trees are mostly rooted without.
Heaven and earth mingle, and all things ripen through transformation; male and female join their essences, and all things are born through transformation. Thus is formed the embryo of mysterious female water transformation.
Reverently uphold the Primordial Lord's wondrous method, respectfully receive the true demon's nurturing rites. Gather demonic nature as divine mechanism, mingle sinful karma as qi establishment; reflect them into an embryo and seize another's creation.
Water transformation attaining its proper method becomes the [creation embryo].

Embrace the one and contain the three, thereby obtaining a divine embryo.
The one is the Dao, is nurturing earth, is [Auspicious Essence, Proliferating Karma, Great Netherworld Mysterious Sheep].
The three are essence, qi, and spirit; are yin, yang, and harmonious union; are [cause and effect], [Nature and life], and [divine status].
Spirit monsters and spiritual cultivators are born and nurtured by heaven and earth. Without a prior cause, they therefore have no subsequent effect. To seek a cause, they may transform into deities and receive investiture through incense offerings; enter the immortal ranks and receive a great one's enfeoffment; or nurture a mysterious embryo anew, completing the three to make the one.
This is the wondrous Dao within the Dragon-Tiger Scripture, the profound discourse within the Token for the Joining of Three-the method by which the five essences of [hidden metal, ji, transformation, true essence] may seek completion from above.
