Female Yin River.
The river waters, like white fat, boiled and churned, turning into banks of hot clouds that rose into the sky. Occasionally, a bird flew into them; male or female, it immediately developed eggs, then plunged toward the ground.
Light surged within the Great Void, and Sunflame rose around a shattered Golden Body clad in white-lotus monastic robes. Standing upon a lotus seat and radiating Mysterious Radiance, this was the Second Seat of White Lotus-Great Lotus Vow.
Female Yin River was a sacred ground of Water Transformation, obtained by Rebirth from Le Yu's Pure Land so that the mortals of the Liao Lands could bear more children and multiply. In early spring, Dharma Masters from various regions would come to draw water and distribute it to mortals, allowing them to give birth in autumn. This had continued for nearly a thousand years.
Today, it ended.
Blood-colored flames churned and rose within the Great Void ahead. From time to time, jackal-like beasts charged out to devour monks and ravage the earth. Ashen Death emerged unhurriedly from the Great Void, his Bloodfire armor growing ever brighter. His aura had reached an astonishing level, and wherever he passed, only an earth-shattering air of slaughter remained.
He sized up the newcomer like a savage beast, glanced warily at the Sunflame, then fixed his gaze on the Lotus Throne beneath the other's feet. He sneered, "You brought that thing to deal with me?"
Great Lotus Vow pressed his palms together, chanted a Buddhist invocation, then said:
"Evil beast."
The only answer was a sword strike.
Dazzlingly red fire crashed down like an ocean tide, piling higher and higher until it almost touched the vault of heaven, burning away every gleam of golden light around him.
Female Yin River swiftly evaporated into white vapor
