"Lesser Yin."
Xu Xuan rolled those two words over in his mind. A rich fragrance washed over him, making him somewhat uncomfortable.
He reached out and grasped the bone-jade-like hilt. First came a chill, followed by a faint, dry heat. Sword intent flowed naturally over it, meeting no resistance at all.
Deep black thunderbolts coiled around the dusky red blade. An overwhelmingly powerful force seeped out, carrying the potential to divide water and fire and transform cold and dryness.
"It doesn't damage sword intent?"
There was a note of wonder in Xu Xuan's voice as he said:
"I've heard that Lesser Yin's Sword Lock can suppress sword intent. Yet this [Tomb Shifter] leaves it unharmed?"
"There is something you do not know, Great True Person of Calamity-Splitting."
Song Shiqing gave a bitter smile and shook his head.
"Great care went into forging this sword. It largely restored the ancient meaning of Lesser Yin, the Great Dao of the ancient Four Symbols, which differs greatly from today's Lesser Yin. Among the Four Symbols, 'Lesser Yin' originally concerned sinking, shifting toward death, and gathering inward. It suited the Sword Dao best of all. As for the present situation... I do not know either." His words stirred a few doubts in Xu Xuan's mind.
[Nanhua]'s Great Dao of harmonious union had much in common with "Lesser Yang," while his Sword Dao-cultivating incarnation, the [Free-and-Easy Master], cultivated severance. Was that not the same path as "Lesser Yin"?
Or rather, perhaps this Immortal Lord cultivated the transformations of yin and yang directly!
As for today's "Lesser Yin," its nature had changed greatly, moving toward another extreme and gaining this power to restrain the Sword Dao. Did that mean the current Lesser Yin Lord had some history with the Sword Dao?
