(The main story continues next chapter. Relatives came to visit me today, so I didn't have much time to update. I'll see if I can make it up to everyone tomorrow.)
"After her! Don't let that girl get away!"
"Relax, she can't get much farther. Haven't you noticed she's slowed down? She's clearly running out of stamina."
"Huh, looks like you're right."
A black-clad samurai raised an eyebrow. With Princess Kaguya's unfathomable powers, he felt
she shouldn't have exhausted her stamina so quickly,
but Princess Kaguya had indeed slowed considerably,
so he dismissed his suspicions.
Then, as though noticing something else, he cried out,
"Wait, where's the child she was carrying?"
"Forget him. Capture one of them first so we have something to report. A child that small can't get far."
"Right!"
The other black-clad samurai also realized that Yuya had disappeared.
But with Princess Kaguya right before them,
they chose to capture her first.
Soon, Princess Kaguya was completely surrounded.
Rather than the samurai having caught up to her,
it seemed more as though Princess Kaguya had deliberately slowed down,
waiting for them.
"Where do you think you're running, girl?"
"Give yourself up. Here in the Land of Ancestors, the Son of Heaven always gets whoever he wants."
Looking at the black-clad samurai surrounding her,
Princess Kaguya pressed her lips together and remained silent.
"Quite a stubborn girl."
The black-clad samurai kept taunting her.
They watched Princess Kaguya like predators eyeing prey,
but none of them let their guard down,
because along the way, they had experienced
that strange power Princess Kaguya possessed.
Whenever they tried to get close to her,
it sent them flying.
So now that the moment had come,
none of them wanted to make the first move.
"Little Yuya should be far away by now..."
