Background / History
Arrival and Adoption
Su Ye arrives in the Naruto world as an infant shortly after Kaguya’s apparent victory over Isshiki. Unable to explain himself, he faces execution as an unpredictable threat. He follows a system option to reach toward Kaguya with a trusting smile; she abandons the attack, embraces him, and promises to protect him 3.
Kaguya names him Ōtsutsuki Yuya and keeps him by her side. Retaining knowledge of Naruto’s future, he initially considers switching allegiances to avoid sharing her downfall, but also begins imagining that he could prevent it 4.
Training and Rule of the Land of Ancestors
Kaguya raises and trains Yuya while searching for a place to plant the God Tree. He develops extraordinary strength and awakens the Sharingan. At five, he attacks guards near Ancestor City after their captain insults Kaguya, severing the captain’s arm with a water blade and scattering the others with fire 7 8.
After they take control of the Land of Ancestors, Yuya spends three years governing while Kaguya guards the tree. His public image is that of a pampered Divine Son, concealing his work through two pavilions and his artistic identity as Su Ye. When his legitimacy is challenged, Qingyi reveals these identities; Yuya confirms them through a flute performance dedicated to Kaguya 10 12 13.
Discovery of Kaguya’s Sacrifices
At eight, Yuya reunites with Kaguya and receives a Source Fruit after sparring with her. Its prophetic power reveals danger in her future. Her later chakra infusion strengthens him further, but the bond system exposes her worsening condition 14 15 18.
Heavenly Secrets Calculation reveals that Isshiki has lived inside Yuya since infancy, hidden through Sukunahikona. Kaguya absorbed the God Tree’s dangerous power to protect him, then transferred Isshiki into herself during the infusion. Yuya’s grief turns into guilt-driven training and a determination to become her protector 19 20 21 22.
Search for Abe Kiyuki
Divination identifies a mysterious girl as a lead to Kaguya’s salvation. Yuya mobilizes pavilion personnel and clones to find her, eventually sacrificing business income to sustain the search. The girl proves to be Abe Kiyuki, whose ancestor Abe Seimei left notes in the Wind-Snow Realm 25 26 33 35 36.
Yuya learns that the Yin-Yang Pearl needed for the ruins is connected to the Heavenly Sage Dynasty and its ranking tournament. Although initially willing to take it by force, he ultimately competes, wins the tournament, obtains the Pearl, and earns Tsukuyomi 37 40 41.
Separation and Isshiki’s Suppression
Kaguya intercepts Yuya at the Wind-Snow Realm’s closing entrance and begs him to return. Fearing that an explanation would expose his plans to Isshiki—and that taking her along would endanger them both—Yuya pretends to reject her 41 42.
The confrontation becomes a battle against Isshiki controlling Kaguya’s body. Yuya uses layered Wood Release attacks, Susanoo, a decoy, and the specially prepared Zhu Yin: Tsukuyomi to force Isshiki into temporary slumber. When the real Kaguya regains awareness and stabs him in confusion, he refuses to dodge. His Mangekyō awakens, and his subsequent departure earns the Rinnegan reward 43 45.
Yin-Yang Tomb and the Attempted Return
In the Wind-Snow Realm, Yuya bonds with a young Silver Dragon and reaches Seimei’s ruins. After recognizing that he has treated Kiyuki as a tool and left her in danger, he heals her and her fox, apologizes, and leaves a protective clone before entering the tomb 46 47.
The tomb’s trials reenact actual fragments of the planet’s struggle against the Ōtsutsuki. Yuya confronts Seimei and endures a prolonged battle with his shikigami under conditions that suppress ninjutsu and prevent Sage Mode. A time-binding ocular attack and concealed clone finally secure victory. Seimei offers a cleansing art that can save Kaguya, at the cost of the remaining Onmyōji souls 48 49.
Yuya accepts responsibility for the realm’s dragon and displaced beasts, enlightening them and establishing a summoning system. On emerging, he learns that almost three months have passed outside and Kaguya has fewer than ten days remaining. Unable to wait for the realm’s natural collapse, he cuts it into controlled fragments until he can sense the main world again 49 50.
Appearance
Yuya has silver hair, refined features, and dark eyes when his dōjutsu are inactive; system-enhanced charm makes him conspicuously attractive 7 10 15.
- Accelerated physical growth: Nearly the height of an ordinary eight-year-old at five; resembles an eleven- or twelve-year-old at eight 8 10.
- Early clothing: Wears a simple white shirt sewn by Kaguya 7.
- Mangekyō pattern: Black six-pointed stars in his pupils 43.
- Six Paths appearance: Rippled, six-tomoe eyes, a golden sage cloak, and twelve floating Truth-Seeking Orbs 45.
Personality
Yuya is playful, proud, and highly conscious of how others perceive him. He enjoys displaying his talents, compares his childhood strength with famous shinobi prodigies, and performs grand patriotic speeches even when privately motivated by system rewards. Beneath his carefree noble persona, he notices political agitation and understands the risks of both ignoring dissent and suppressing it indiscriminately 8 10 11 16.
His attachment to Kaguya gradually replaces his initial survival calculations. Learning what she has sacrificed leaves him willing to endure lethal divination backlash, public embarrassment, and exhausting training to save her. That devotion also narrows his priorities: he neglects business, becomes emotionally distant, and treats Kiyuki instrumentally before acknowledging the harm and apologizing 20 21 23 33 37 47.
He remains capable of self-questioning. The prospect of taking the Yin-Yang Pearl by force makes him consider whether growing power is eroding his humanity. His approach to the Silver Dragon and displaced beasts also shows that he can choose patience, cooperation, and stewardship rather than domination 40 46 49.
Abilities & Skills
Choice System and Bond Effects
A mysterious system presents actions with associated rewards, allowing Yuya to acquire attributes, talents, constitutions, and techniques 3 4 16 23.
- Strategic selection: Often favors abilities he cannot easily reproduce himself over techniques he expects to learn independently 18 23.
- Kaguya bond: Tracks her affection and status, provides special rewards, and warns him of attacks or consumption by unknown energy 4 18 21.
- Mental influence: Affection above 20 gives him a faint soothing effect on Kaguya; his grief later unconsciously causes nearby maids to cry 6 19.
- Uncertain influence: Becomes suspicious when options begin triggering directly from his thoughts 37.
- Unexplored reward: Reincarnation is listed among his bond rewards, but its operation is not demonstrated in the supplied events 18.
Exceptional Comprehension
Yuya can analyze techniques, derive advanced forms from basic principles, and redesign abilities that do not suit his constitution 16 22 26 39.
- Develops Shadow Clones from the basic Clone Technique 26.
- Safely dismantles a Rasengan by returning its chaotic chakra to ordered flow 22.
- Creates an original teleportation technique after discovering that the standard Flying Thunder God cannot work for him 39.
- Still benefits from practical experience: the Yin-Yang Tomb forces him to integrate powers previously acquired with little combat exposure 49.
Dōjutsu and Genjutsu
His ocular abilities combine perception, fate-reading, altered outcomes, mental attacks, time-binding, and chakra constructs 15 16 41 49.
- Sharingan: Reads movements and detects subtle chakra activity 8.
- Prophecy and Time: Initially permit a brief glimpse of past and future; Prophecy is limited by his eight-year-old body 15.
- Izanagi: Records his state and can undo injury or death within its effective duration. It does not restore spent chakra; his revival after fatal divination backlash leaves him severely weakened 16 21.
- Zhu Yin: Tsukuyomi: A specialized adaptation intended to injure Isshiki’s mind and force him into temporary slumber. Casting it causes bloody tears and severe visual impairment 43.
- Time-binding: Freezes Liuhe’s body, thoughts, movements, breathing, aura, and cells, creating an opening against Seimei 49.
- Amaterasu: Uses black flames in attacks and combines them with Susanoo and Yin-Yang Release 43 46 49.
Susanoo and Six Paths Power
Yuya manifests golden Susanoo armor and later combines his powers through Six Paths Mode 42 45.
- Uses Susanoo with three-tomoe eyes before his full Mangekyō awakening 42.
- Combines complete Susanoo with Sage Art: Wood Release: Buddha at the Summit 47.
- Reshapes Susanoo or manifests selected parts during extended combat 49.
- Uses Repulsive Force for flight and object manipulation 45 47.
- Shapes an Expansive Truth-Seeking Orb into a vast sword capable of cleaving the Wind-Snow Realm 50.
- Is not invulnerable: the tomb’s Onmyōji champion destroys eight Truth-Seeking Orbs and shatters his complete Susanoo 47.
Sage Body and Sage Mode
The Sage Body supplies exceptional resilience and recovery, while Sage Mode greatly amplifies his attributes and connection to nature 24 33.
- Sage Body makes the self-inflicted cutting damage of Rasenshuriken negligible 24.
- Enhanced Sage Mode avoids the stone-toad side effect and replenishes senjutsu chakra rapidly 33.
- His emotions can wither or restore nearby vegetation while in Sage Mode 34.
- Sage Mode produces unusual detachment but does not erase his feelings for Kaguya 33.
- Cannot enter Sage Mode during the final tomb battle 49.
Elemental Ninjutsu and Healing
Yuya develops elemental shape manipulation into a broad combat repertoire 15 24 26 33.
- Water, fire, and earth: Uses Torrent of a Thousand Blades, Flame Vortex, and Rock Spire Thrust during his spar with Kaguya 15.
- Wind: Reshapes Rasenshuriken chakra into swords, knives, staffs, whips, bows, and arrows; sustained control also permits flight 24 25.
- Lightning: Learns Chidori and Chidori Stream through accelerated clone training 26.
- Wood Release: Creates forests, binding hands, Wood Dragons, Wood Clones, and enormous Buddhist constructs 34 43 47.
- Ice, Lava, and Boil Releases: Awakens all three alongside Wood Release 33.
- Yang Release: Rapidly heals Kiyuki and her Celestial Fox 47.
Space-Time Techniques and Clones
Instant permits teleportation without the external inscription or medium required by the original Flying Thunder God 39.
- Can reach locations within his sensory range, places he has visited, or sites retaining his chakra 39.
- Develops a slower, modified Flying Thunder God usable without its usual constitution requirement 39.
- Uses clones for parallel training, worldwide searches, protection, companionship, and combat deception 26 35 43 47 49.
- Large-scale clone use taxes both chakra and mental stamina 26.
- Barriers at Seimei’s ruins block perception and space-time entry; the tomb also seals space until its destruction 46 49.
Divination
Yuya uses the Taiqing Aura-Observing Technique, also described as the Supreme Clarity Qi-Reading Art, to examine fortune and character. Heavenly Secrets Calculation reveals past events, possible futures, locations, and survival risks 15 17 20 40.
- Detects Kaguya’s deteriorating fate and uncovers Isshiki’s hidden residence inside him 20.
- Locates Kiyuki, her surviving relatives, and clues leading to Seimei’s notes 25 34 37.
- Inflicts health loss and mental strain; repeated use can escalate into fatal backlash 20 21.
- Produces clues and probabilities rather than guaranteed solutions 25 34 40.
Swordsmanship and Enlightenment
Yuya’s self-created Gale Sword Technique uses sweeping, storm-like strikes; his first complete demonstration includes forty-nine successive attacks 15 17.
- Advances the technique from B-rank to A-rank through practical training 22.
- Teaches it openly to Musashi and other observers rather than guarding it as a secret 17.
The Enlightenment Technique awakens intelligence, establishes bonds, and assists transformation 45.
- Helps the Silver Dragon connect with its ancient heritage 46.
- Calms the Wind-Snow Realm’s beasts and reduces their cruelty and bloodlust 49.
- Enables his effort to turn displaced creatures into summoning partners for humans 49.

Trivia
- Su Ye is both his pre-adoption name and his musical identity. The Peerless Faction admired Su Ye’s talent while the Divine Child Faction admired Yuya; the rival groups reconciled after discovering they supported the same person 3 12 13.
- His declaration that he likes men is a system-task response, not a reliable statement of attraction. It nevertheless becomes a persistent public misunderstanding 22 23 40.
- Kiyuki calls him “Mr. Incubus” because of his beauty and the effect he has on her heartbeat; Yuya rejects the identification 37.
- His knowledge of Naruto is useful but incomplete. Seimei’s account of the Ōtsutsuki’s cosmic nature forces him to recognize how little his previous-life anime knowledge explains about the world 48.
