He needed to engrave the Nen Script into the gaps between the three outer layers of script surrounding the storage structure. The angle was extremely awkward; any other engraving method would have crippled him long ago.

All the Nen Script on his bones lit up at once.
The core layer of the storage structure lit up, as did the guiding structure and the sealing structure.
Several layers of light overlapped, forming a complete network of Nen Script meridians before slowly sinking deep into his bones.
Odin let out a forceful breath.
In Odin's perception, it was as though an enormous network of tunnels had appeared throughout his body, along with a vast dantian space that was still completely empty.
He opened his eyes and grinned.
"It worked."
Ponzu walked over and crouched in front of him, studying him. "You succeeded?"
"Yes," Odin said. "I succeeded."
He lowered his head to look at his chest.
His clothes were soaked with sweat, clinging to his body.
Other than that, there were no visible traces.
Ponzu stood up, took a piece of jerky from her backpack, and handed it to him. "Eat something first."
Odin took it, bit off a mouthful, and chewed a few times before swallowing.
The sun had already moved westward, stretching the rocky mountains' shadows long.
Ponzu sat down beside him and took a sip from her canteen. "What next?"
"Find a kind of energy that lets me cultivate toward immortality," Odin said. "Then start cultivating."
As he spoke, Odin's eyes shone as though he had found his life's calling.
"Cultivate toward immortality?"
