Netero set down his teacup and glanced at everyone present.
"I called you here today for one thing."
He paused, sweeping his gaze around the room.
"I intend to step down."
The meeting room fell utterly silent.
A few seconds later, Cheadle spoke. "Chairman, are you serious?"
"Ho ho ho, quite serious," Netero said. "I'm old. It's time to let the younger generation take over."
Saiyu lowered the hands he had clasped behind his head and looked at Netero. "Chairman, you're still perfectly healthy. Isn't it too early to step down?"
"Not at all," Netero said.
No one spoke.
Netero looked at Odin and continued, "I propose that Odin succeed me as chairman."
The Zodiacs turned their eyes to Odin again, but before they could speak, he answered.
Odin frowned and spoke first. "I'm not interested."
Oh, so you're turning me down now?
"Ho ho ho, don't be so quick to refuse," Netero said. "Being chairman is great fun. You can do whatever you like."
Pariston raised his hand, smiling with narrowed eyes. "Chairman, that isn't in line with the rules. I don't mind. I'll agree to whatever you say, but the others aren't quite so accommodating."
"As much as I hate him, he's right. I don't agree with making this newcomer chairman," Piyon said, setting down her phone and eyeing Odin suspiciously.
"Ho ho ho, then let's put it to a vote," Netero said.
