Netero chuckled. "Chairman, you need to go through the formalities."
Looking at the chuckling old man before him, Odin said irritably, "What formalities?"
"The inauguration." Netero stroked his beard with a smile. "Tomorrow morning, in the banquet hall, we'll announce your appointment to the world."
Odin looked at him. "I said I'm not taking the job."
"I know." Netero chuckled. "But take it for a few days first. You can resign afterward."
"Why do I have to do it for a few days?" Odin asked, eyeing Netero suspiciously.
He strongly suspected Netero intended to trick him into taking over first and worry about the rest later.
Netero chuckled and beckoned for Odin to follow.
He led the two of them to the meeting room. Killua and Gon tried to follow, but Beans stopped them.
"Ho ho ho, I have something for you." Standing by the window, Netero turned to look at Odin. "Something you can only receive once you're chairman. It's also your reward."
Odin raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
That was something he hadn't expected.
"You'll find out tomorrow," Netero said. "After the inauguration."
He returned to his chair, sat down, and took a sip of tea.
"All right, go back and get ready."
Odin looked at him, silent for several seconds.
"Fine," he said. "I'll do it."
After a pause, Odin grinned and continued, "You'd better not be lying, or I'll feed you a Rejuvenation Potion, strip you naked, and toss you into a pigsty."
Netero chuckled. "All right. See you tomorrow."
Huh, so he really meant it?
Odin was surprised too, and became interested in whatever Netero had mentioned.
He turned and left the office.
Ponzu followed behind him.
In the hallway, Cheadle stood beside Beans, waiting.
When Odin came out, she asked, "What's going on?"
