"Looks like that Spider they caught last night escaped." Ponzu looked at Odin. "From what they're saying, those seven Spiders had bounties put on them last night, two billion each. Aren't you interested?"
"Of course I am. How could I not be? Seven people-that's fourteen billion altogether. That's no small sum." Odin grinned, his eyes full of hunger for money.
If he knew the Transformation Technique, he would have transformed himself and made some fake corpses to fraudulently claim the money.
Then, once the fraud came to light, he could turn in the real Spiders and collect again.
He could get paid at least twice.
What a shame.
"I knew it. So when do we make our move?" Ponzu wore an unsurprised expression, without a trace of fear.
As she saw it, the members of the Phantom Troupe might be strong, but they certainly weren't stronger than Odin.
And she could fly. Once the fighting started, all she had to do was fly high enough to stay out of Odin's way.
"No rush. Let's wait a little longer. We need to let these mobsters realize the Spiders aren't easy to deal with." Odin waved a hand to reassure Ponzu. "Tonight. We'll launch a surprise attack on them tonight."
Ponzu nodded. "That works."
With that, she began preparing for tonight's battle.
Meanwhile, Odin took out the stone and the fragment again to study them.
This time, he actually discovered something.
"Huh? Could this thing be a bodily stone rather than a rock?" Odin stared at the stone in his hand, suddenly struck by the thought.
He examined the stone, then the fragment.
He sensed the energy fluctuations within them.
"So the energy inside really isn't Nen. It's energy that had nowhere to go inside the body and accumulated instead." Odin drew
