After Meihui returned to Konoha with the griddle-cooked octopus, he first went to the Hokage's Office to tell Tsunade about his arrangements for Sasuke, Itachi, and the others.
Tsunade simply waved a hand, indicating that he could handle those matters himself.
Tsunade looked at Meihui, her nose twitching as she sniffed the air around him.
"Hmm? You little brat, what tasty food have you got there?"
"Huh? What are you talking about, Lady Tsunade? I don't understand." Meihui laughed it off, pretending he knew nothing.
But someone as shrewd as Tsunade could hardly miss the little brat's tricks.
"All right, you can go."
"Sure thing! Goodbye, Lady Tsunade." With that, he ran off without looking back.
"Shizune, come on. We're going to that brat Meihui's house."
"Huh? What for, Lady Tsunade?" Shizune was puzzled.

"Oh, that? I sent Sasuke and the others to capture the Eight-Tails, but he fooled them with one of his tails."
But once they realized this was the Eight-Tails' tail, it suddenly seemed much less appetizing. Naruto and Shizuku, of course, were completely unaffected and kept eating with relish.
