Meihui grew a little impatient when he saw that those two cheaters, Naruto and Sasuke, still weren't using their cheats. He casually hurled an Ice Spike so fast that it broke the sound barrier.
Naruto dodged it outright thanks to the high mobility of Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, but Sasuke wasn't so lucky. Although his Mangekyo Sharingan let him see the incoming Ice Spike's trajectory, his body couldn't keep up. Unable to react in time, he was pinned to a large tree.
"Sasuke!"
Seeing Itachi about to step forward as well, Meihui flung an Ice Spike at his feet.
"Don't move. You can't protect him his whole life. You have to let him grow on his own. You know flowers raised in a greenhouse can't withstand a torrential storm."
But looking at Sasuke, bloodied all over from Meihui's attacks, Itachi couldn't help wanting to retort.
"I don't think flowers grown outdoors could withstand this kind of abuse from you either."
When Sasuke stopped moving, Meihui hurled three more Ice Spikes. Naruto desperately intercepted one, then used a tail formed from Nine-Tails Chakra to knock another off course so it missed Sasuke.
But the last one pierced straight through Sasuke's abdomen. Naruto's hand was still shaking. He'd been careless earlier; he shouldn't have caught that spike barehanded. Now his entire hand was numb.
Naruto's powerful physique let him dodge Meihui's attacks, but that didn't mean he could catch them.
To put it in gaming terms, Naruto was a speedy, high-HP ninja whose attacks barely scratched his enemies, while Sasuke was a high-damage, fragile assassin. Meihui, meanwhile, was a turret mage with high damage, high HP, and high speed.
What kind of reasonable person could fight you point-blank and land precision strikes from afar? It was just unfair. Naruto and Sasuke were getting
