Meihui stared at the questions on the exam paper, his head beginning to ache. What even was this stuff?

"I seriously suspect whoever wrote this paper came from another world too. Just look at how practiced they are at this. You can tell they're no ordinary person."

"Tsk, tsk. These ridiculous little questions."

Meihui raised his head and looked around at the other examinees. They were all scratching their heads and shaking them, unable to come up with anything. Then he looked at Sasuke, whose eyes had gone red from sheer frustration.

Meihui sighed. There was nothing for it. He would just have to write something.

"The answer to question one... hmm, probably alternating current. Kakashi isn't exactly good at communicating, either."

He had no idea about the second question, so he skipped it. The third was the same...

And so it went until question six.

"A nursery rhyme? Now that I know."

Little bunny, snowy white, lift both ears and hold them tight. Cut the arteries, cut the veins, so cute and still, no life remains. Strip the skin and chop some chunks, toss them in the pan for lunch. Add some water, lid on top, sprinkle cilantro before you stop. Grab a bowl and chopsticks too, pick up a piece-what a chew! A tasty dish to go with booze.

After writing it down, Meihui smacked his lips. It had been ages since he had eaten that.

What brand of cigarettes did Asuma smoke?

Probably Chunghwa.

The next question: a poem praising the Third Hokage?

This is right up my alley. Let's get straight to it.

At the Eastern Han's end, three kingdoms rose; Cao Cao cut down Qiao Biluo in his throes.

We men must strive to stand up tall; eat a peachy-peach and feel so cool. A loving mother, sword in hand, hacked at her unfilial brat.

Eighteen strikes in a single second, every blow a critical hit. The father saw his son wasn't dead and pulled out his Septwolves belt.

The son beheld that Septwolves belt, and an icy chill pierced through his heart.

An icy heart, a soaring soul.

For jelly, it's Xizhilang I want.

Xizhilang-one cell outlasts six.

Travel far to feast on mortal splendor; activate Ghostblade and vanish altogether.

If Dragon City's flying general were here, he'd push the top lane's minion wave.

The wind rises, heads go bald; no matter how far, slay them all.

"Ah, I really am a genius. But if Danzo finds out I wrote about Hiruzen like this, he won't get angry, will he?"

"Oh, he's nothing like me. All I do is care..."

"Ahem. Stop right there."

He didn't know the next question either, so he skipped it outright.

Okay, all done. Meihui signaled Sasuke and tossed over the spare copy he had made.

Sasuke caught it, took a couple of glances, and went blank.

Could you seriously write this on an exam?

He glanced back at Meihui, who was smiling and making a hand gesture he didn't understand.

Sasuke shook his head and decided to guess for himself instead. Maybe he would get one or two right.

Without another word, Sasuke began guessing too.

Beside them, Naruto was already numb.

Looking around the exam hall, even Shikamaru, hailed as the greatest brain, had sweat covering his forehead.

Sakura Haruno, who called herself a star student, was covering her face and sobbing.

"Boo-hoo-hoo." Someone had started crying.

These few questions had actually been hard enough to reduce people to tears.

Ibiki Morino was puzzled too. Why was someone crying during an exam? That kid was sobbing as though his exam paper had died.

Even Ibiki couldn't quite understand it.

So he took a look at the questions himself. He had been blissfully ignorant before, but one glance gave him a fright.

How was any human supposed to answer these questions? Whoever had set them clearly had no conscience.

Left with no choice, Ibiki announced the tenth question ahead of schedule.

"Next is the tenth question. This question will determine whether your entire team succeeds or fails."

"Furthermore, you only need to tell me whether you'll answer it or not before you can learn what the question is. Now, it's time for you to make your choice."

Ibiki's words piled the pressure directly onto everyone present.

Before long, someone couldn't take it anymore. His calves trembling, he chose to withdraw on the spot.

After that, many more left, one after another.
