Meihui's Fury

After Meihui left, Naruto stayed to look after Sasuke. Some time later, a group showed up-the same Sound Ninja who had clashed with them in the classroom.

The three Sound Ninja spotted Naruto and Sasuke as well. Seeing that Meihui was gone and Sasuke lay unconscious on the ground, they attacked Naruto without hesitation. But after Meihui's hellish training, Naruto was hardly someone these three small fries could beat.

Naruto created shadow clones and rushed in to fight them, only to fall victim to Dosu's attack.

"You're too naive. You might think you dodged my attack, but you still took damage. I attack with sound. There's no way for you to avoid it."

Dosu stood off to the side, smugly explaining the weapon on his arm. Looking at Naruto sprawled on the ground, he broke into a wicked grin.

To his surprise, the Naruto before him suddenly burst into smoke.

"Damn it! A shadow clone!"

Only then did Dosu realize he had been fooled. He was about to look for the real Naruto when Naruto charged straight out.

"Rasengan!" Naruto rushed out and slammed a Rasengan into Dosu, sending him flying.

Rather than helping Dosu after he was sent flying, his teammates stood to the side and mocked him.

"Hey, hey, Dosu, don't tell me you're so weak you can't even handle one brat! That's hilarious." Zaku Abumi even taunted him aloud.

Hearing his teammates' remarks after being knocked away, Dosu was furious too.

At that point, someone could no longer stand watching. A chime rang out.

"Enough arguing. Hurry up and finish these two off." By the time Qin said that, she was already beside Sasuke. Naruto stared, dumbfounded.

"What's going on? Wasn't she over there just now? How did she get next to Sasuke in an instant?"

Hearing Naruto's words, Qin took out a silver needle with two bells tied to it. She shook it, producing a pleasant chime.

But when Naruto heard it, he felt the world spin around him.

By the time Naruto recovered, Zaku was already right in front of him. With no time to dodge, Naruto took the full force of Zaku's Air Cutter head-on.

Naruto was still thinking of getting up and fighting back, but Qin pressed a kunai against Sasuke's throat and threatened him.

"No ninjutsu. Don't resist, or I'll kill your friend."

Hearing that, Naruto lowered the hands he had been using to form hand seals.

Zaku showed Naruto no mercy. He went straight over and beat him savagely. Dosu got back up as well, limping over to Zaku and occasionally adding a kick or two.

"Weren't you acting pretty cocky just now, brat?"

Naruto could only swallow his anger. They had a hostage, after all.

Damn it, these guys are awful. Big bro, when are you coming back?

Just then, Meihui returned.

When he saw Zaku beating Naruto, he exploded with rage.

Powerful chakra erupted around him, threaded with wisps of scarlet chakra.

Before Zaku could react, Meihui was beside him. A single punch sent him flying into a tree, embedding him so deeply he could not even be pried out.

Qin was still bewildered by Meihui's sudden appearance. Only when Zaku was sent flying did she snap out of it.

But before she could threaten them, Meihui used the Body Flicker Technique to appear before her and delivered one simple punch.

That made one more person sent flying.

Only Dosu remained, frozen in place. As Meihui approached step by step, Dosu recoiled in terror, backing away until he fell flat on the ground.

Seeing Naruto's battered, swollen face filled Meihui with fury. He went straight up to Dosu and stomped on his leg, shattering it.

"Aah!" Dosu's agonized scream echoed through the forest. By then, Zaku had climbed back up. He still foolishly believed he had only been knocked away because he had let his guard down and failed to dodge.

Still wanting to see whether he could take Meihui on, he raised his arms and aimed at him.

"Air Cutter!" Zaku summoned all the chakra in his body and unleashed his strongest attack.

After a cloud of smoke billowed past, Zaku thought his attack had hit Meihui. Just as he was about to grin triumphantly, Meihui appeared before him in an instant, scaring him senseless.

"Y-you... how are you unharmed?" Zaku could barely string his words together.

Meihui had no intention of indulging him. He seized both of Zaku's hands and crippled them on the spot.

"Aah!" His heart-wrenching scream startled the birds in the forest.

Meihui slowly walked toward Qin, who burst into tears from fear. Just as she thought she was about to lose an arm or a leg as well, Meihui slapped her. The blow was so hard that it left her dazed.

"Take your useless teammates and get out, while I still don't feel like killing you."

Hearing that, Qin felt as though she had escaped death. She paid no attention to the tooth mixed in with the blood she spat out.

She grabbed her two teammates and fled like the wind.

It was not that Meihui was being softhearted. The Nine-Tails' chakra had affected his emotions just now.

As Meihui was considering whether to add another layer to the Nine-Tails' seal, Sasuke woke up.
