Sasuke fought Deidara, reunited with Itachi after learning the truth about the Uchiha massacre, and began rebuilding his team with his brother. As Jiraiya battled Pain in Amegakure, Meihui arrived just as the Six Paths were about to kill him.

• Sasuke defeated Deidara’s attacks but survived his ten-kilometer explosion by hiding inside Manda, then recovered with Karin’s help.
• Sasuke confronted Itachi, learned that Madara was the third Mangekyō Sharingan user, and fought him until Itachi sealed Orochimaru and collapsed.
• Meihui saved Itachi with a Senzu Bean and explained how Danzo had forced Itachi to massacre the Uchiha Clan, prompting Sasuke and Itachi to reconcile.
• Meihui arranged for Sasuke and Itachi to recruit their former teammates and stage an attack on Kumogakure, where they fought Killer B but captured only one of Gyuki’s tentacles.
• Meihui learned Jiraiya had gone to Amegakure and set out to rescue him with Shizuku.
• Jiraiya fought Pain’s bodies with Fukasaku and Shima, used their song-based genjutsu to defeat three Paths, and discovered that the enemy consisted of six bodies.
• The Six Paths of Pain overwhelmed Jiraiya and pinned him to a wall, but Meihui arrived and knocked aside the Black Rod aimed at Jiraiya’s heart.

Meihui helped Konoha repel Pain’s assault, then confronted Nagato and prompted him to question Obito’s manipulation. After returning to Konoha, Meihui turned his attention to Danzo, whose failed attempts to intimidate him hardened into a plan to kill him.

• Meihui helped Naruto and Sasuke defeat the Six Paths of Pain, ultimately freezing Super Deva Path with his Eight Trigrams Azure Dragon Ice Spiral.
• Meihui spoke with Nagato about Akatsuki’s original hopes and the possibility that Madara had used him, leading Nagato to reconsider his plan for peace.
• Nagato and Konan confronted Obito, but Nagato died and Obito killed Konan before taking Nagato’s Rinnegan.
• Kabuto approached Obito with an alliance proposal and showed him resurrected shinobi, including Madara Uchiha.
• Meihui returned to Konoha with Naruto, Sasuke, Suigetsu, Jūgo, and Karin, while Itachi stayed behind because of Danzo.
• Danzo sent Root agents to Meihui’s home, but Shizuku defeated them, and Meihui warned Yamanaka Fū to tell Danzo to prepare for his grave.
• Meihui entered Root headquarters and confronted Danzo about the attack on his home, then vanished with Flying Thunder God after repeating Danzo’s private words.
• Danzo concluded Meihui had to die, and Torune Aburame reported that no one was secretly protecting him.

Meihui defeated Danzo, confronted the Raikage, and turned Kumogakure’s strength into a ransom before the villages gathered to address the grave robberies. As the Five Kage Summit began, Meihui’s taunts left A visibly intimidated.

• Meihui defeated Danzo, stopped his final sealing technique, and took Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan before returning to Konoha.
• Meihui intimidated Koharu and Homura into giving up their authority, then traveled with Kakashi and Might Guy to meet Raikage A in Kumogakure.
• Meihui defeated A and Killer B, froze them, and demanded a ransom that included rare ninjutsu and unusual items.
• Meihui returned to Konoha and learned that someone had robbed the cemetery, while Kabuto met Obito and prepared for the war.
• Tsunade and Meihui joined the Five Kage Summit in the Land of Iron, where A questioned Konoha about the grave robberies.
• Meihui mocked A at the summit and pressured him until the Raikage nervously asked what he planned to do.

Meihui helped Naruto master the Nine-Tails’ chakra, revealed the Ōtsutsuki threat, and tested Naruto and Sasuke as the Allied Shinobi Forces prepared for war. As the fighting spread, Naruto left Turtle Island and faced Nagato, who overwhelmed him until Kurama restored his strength.

• Meihui identified Kabuto as the likely user of Impure World Reincarnation, and Obito appeared at the summit to demand the tailed beasts before declaring war.
• The Five Great Shinobi Villages and the Land of Iron formed the Allied Shinobi Forces and sent Meihui, Kakashi, Yamato, and Might Guy with Naruto to Turtle Island.
• Meihui helped Naruto reconcile with Dark Naruto, then supported him as he met Minato and Kushina, learned they were his parents, and took the Nine-Tails’ chakra.

• When the war erupted, Naruto sensed the fighting and left Turtle Island with Killer B while Meihui stayed behind to train his zodiac seals and Sealing Jutsu.
• Naruto and Killer B fought White Zetsu before encountering Nagato and Konan, who attacked them and restored Nagato’s strength by absorbing Killer B’s chakra.
