With a fierce shout, Granolah curled his right hand around empty air and yanked it back.
A powerful suction wrenched the door open.
Two startled faces stood behind it.
Granolah's brows knitted as he looked at the two people outside.
"Maki, Oil, when did you two get here?" Granolah demanded, his expression hostile.
He disliked both of them.
Or rather, he disliked every last member of the Heeters.
"Oh, we just got here."
"You really gave me a fright! Is this how you treat your guests? How rude." Maki's eyes darted around as she pouted.
"Hmph." Granolah snorted and looked at Oil. "Oil, tell me. Is she telling the truth?"
"We... Ow! Maki, what are you doing?" Oil had barely opened his mouth when pain shot through his waist. He looked down and discovered that Maki had twisted the flesh at his side into a knot.
"Heehee, nothing, nothing. Just testing your pain tolerance." Maki giggled, her smile bright as a flower.
Then she turned to Granolah.
"Granolah, could you stop scowling all the time? Oil and I were passing through Planet Cereal on a job, and we thought we'd drop by to see you since you live here. Who knew you'd shout and fling the door open just as we got here? You gave us quite a scare. What, aren't we welcome?"
As she spoke, her eyes flicked imperceptibly toward the One-Star Dragon Ball beside Granolah.
"Heehee, it's been a while, Mr. Monaito." She greeted Monaito with a cheerful smile as well.
Without waiting for either of them to answer, Maki pulled out a bottle of liquid.
"This is fresh drinking water of the finest quality. Please accept it. Thank you." She even gave a bow.
