"Father must be so disappointed in me!" Sasuke lowered his hands and asked Mikoto dejectedly.
"Silly boy! What are you talking about?" Mikoto sat beside Sasuke and massaged his forehead. "Your father has always been proud of you! And you're no worse than your brother! He could beat you because he's older and has awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. Once you awaken yours, I know you'll be every bit his equal!"
At Mikoto's words, Sasuke looked up with surprised delight. "Does Father really think that?"
"Of course!" Mikoto said gently.
As they were talking, a commotion suddenly broke out outside.
"What's going on out there?" Sasuke asked Mikoto when he heard the noise.
"Hmm?" Mikoto was puzzled too. She stood, walked to the door, and opened it, only to see Uchiha Fugaku lying on the ground, blood pooling around him.
In front of Fugaku stood Itachi, drenched in blood, a Tachi dangling from his hand!
"Itachi! What are you doing? Why did you kill your father?" Mikoto rushed out to see whether Fugaku could still be saved!
Hearing Mikoto's words, Sasuke scrambled to his feet and looked outside.
He saw Itachi raise his Tachi and swing it down hard at Mikoto on the ground.
"No!" Sasuke screamed!
He tried to rush over and stop him, but he was a step too late. Without the slightest hesitation, Itachi cut down Mikoto as she lay over Fugaku!
"Big Brother! What are you doing? Why did you kill Father and Mother?" Sasuke stumbled over to Fugaku and Mikoto's bodies and shouted at Itachi, who still held his blade.
"The Uchiha Clan's ambitions were too great! For the village's stability, the Uchiha Clan must be destroyed!" Itachi said coldly.
"My foolish Little Brother! I'll send you to join our parents!" Itachi raised his blade, poised
