Uchiha Fugaku hurried to the Hatake Clan residence and happened to run into Kakashi at the entrance, just as he was about to escort Rin Nohara home.
Fugaku was pleasantly surprised. His timing was perfect. He had come looking for Kakashi and gotten Rin Nohara as a bonus. This was wonderful.
When Kakashi and Rin Nohara heard that Obito was unconscious, both grew anxious.
Without another word, they followed Uchiha Fugaku back to the hospital.
The hospital was frighteningly quiet at night. The lights in the corridor flickered, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Three black shadows flashed through the corridor, stirring up a breeze that sent the lamps swaying.
The dim incandescent lights flickered rhythmically as they swayed in the breeze, lending the pristine white hospital a strange air.
Bam!!!
The ward door was shoved open, and Uchiha Fugaku rushed into Obito's room with Kakashi and Rin Nohara.
It was already late at night. Having finished the surgery, Shizune was dozing with her head resting beside Obito's bed.
The bang! startled her awake.

As they opened the ward door, Kakashi and Rin Nohara saw Obito lying in bed, emaciated to little more than a skeleton.
They rubbed their eyes carefully, unable to believe that this skeletal figure was the teammate who had fought beside them-the Obito who had always been brimming with energy.
