I was really angry yesterday-so angry I didn't fall asleep until after four in the morning. I still had a lot of confidence in my plot. Most Naruto fanfiction out there starts with the Chunin Ninja Exams, moves on to the Third Shinobi World War, and sends the protagonist to fight the Land of Wind first.
I started with the Iwa Shinobi, laying the groundwork for later developments so Kakashi and Obito could grow safely. Then came a chance encounter with Dai to help the protagonist build his core team, followed by negotiations with Hiruzen Sarutobi to gain command of part of the army, and finally a move against the Mist Ninja. I won't spoil what comes after that.
How could someone else have exactly the same plot as mine? And then this person claimed my book was a rewrite of another one that had reached ninety chapters, without even giving its title. I checked his profile: no reading history, no voting history. It was obviously a newly created alt account. Who did I offend just by writing a novel, for someone to smear me like this?
But after thinking it over, I realized there was no need to engage with them. From now on, whenever I see this sort of thing, I'll just mute them and delete their posts. Besides, as soon as I got up, I saw so many readers offering encouragement and support. That showed there were still people reading what I wrote. Don't worry, everyone-I won't abandon this story.
I finished the outline ages ago, and the plot will only get more and more exciting from here.
Enough of that. I'll build up a stockpile of chapters first, so I can release ten chapters a day in future bursts.
