After that, Su Jiu also met with the Sect Master and several Peak Masters and Elders she was on relatively good terms with.
Two months passed before she knew it. During that time, Su Jiu never once encountered the Grand Elder or his supposed disciple. That was only natural, though. The Azure Tide Sect was an enormous sect with countless peaks; she could hardly expect to run into someone whenever she wished.
She did, however, catch sight of the newly appointed Third Elder and Fourth Elder twice, from a moderate distance.
She had no idea what those two new Elders truly thought, but at least they both kept up appearances exceedingly well.
The new Fourth Elder, in particular, was clearly a smooth, worldly man. The Third Elder, on the other hand, always struck her as overly cautious when dealing with others. Or perhaps... a little timid?
There was nothing wrong with that sort of personality, but it did seem rather unimpressive for an Elder of a sect.
Of course, none of this had much to do with Su Jiu. She barely knew them, after all. Since the sect had chosen them to take over as Elders, the Sect Master presumably had his own reasons.
Su Jiu counted the days. There was only a month left until Mian Mian and Jin Chen's Dao Companion Ceremony.
Since two personal disciples were becoming Dao Companions, and at such a sensitive time, the sect intended to hold a grand celebration and use the occasion to sweep away its recent ill fortune.
That day, Su Jiu and Su Mianmian were chatting at the Star-Seizing Terrace as usual. Yet they had barely begun when a Message Talisman suddenly descended from the sky.
"Little Junior Sister, have you enjoyed yourself since coming back? Amid all that pleasure,
