Expel us?
When El heard Zhou Yi announce their expulsion, his expression turned rather strange.
Zhou Yi, who might never break through to Soul Douluo in her entire life, was actually expelling someone with ultimate attributes who could cultivate all the way to level 99.
If those old fossils in the Sea God Pavilion found out, they would skin her alive!
El had originally wanted to talk back a little more for the sheer satisfaction of it, but when he heard Zhou Yi's final two remarks, his expression instantly darkened.
"What?"
Seeing El's dark expression, Zhou Yi felt certain she had struck a nerve, so she smugly pressed her advantage.
"Didn't you ask for leave to go home and worship your ancestors right when school started? If you love worshipping your ancestors so much, why even come to Shrek?"
"Just get the hell back home and spend the rest of your life guarding your family's tombs!"
"Heh."
El chuckled, his crimson eyes turning into orange-gold dragon eyes.
At that moment, he was profoundly grateful that he had sent Huo Yutong ahead to tidy up their dorm room.
Otherwise, if Huo Yutong had heard someone call her a little bastard...
He dared not imagine how heartbroken little Huo would have been.
Or how much murderous intent would have welled up in his own heart.
"Teacher Zhou, do you know what it means to invite disaster with your own mouth?"
Terrifying dragon might surged out, roaring as it filled every inch of the classroom.
Zhou Yi's expression changed.
Facing this student whose cultivation was far below her own, she actually felt her martial soul being suppressed, while the circulation of soul power within her body slowed by at least thirty percent!
"Our family's bloodline has dwindled. That doesn't mean we have no one left to carry the torch."
With a smile that wasn't quite a smile, El took out a crimson dragon-scale pendant. A flickering wisp of golden-red flame was sealed within the scale, radiating unimaginable pressure.
"We don't have many newborns, but we still have plenty of old folks. For instance, this pendant in my hand came from an elder of our clan who is a Limit Douluo."
"As soon as I crush this thing, that Limit Douluo elder of mine will come straight here."
"Cursing my family, insulting my clansmen..."
"Now, let's see whether Shrek will choose to make an enemy of a Limit Douluo just to protect a Soul Emperor like you."
Meeting Zhou Yi's horrified gaze, El made as though to crush the scale.
"Wait!"
"Don't do anything just yet!"
Two voices rang out in the classroom at the same time.
El stopped his hand.
One voice belonged to Zhou Yi, who knew she might have caused a catastrophe. The other belonged to someone who had already been watching this classroom for quite some time.
Under the gazes of the students, who had endured one oppressive aura after another, a figure suddenly appeared between the two people facing off.
The newcomer wore white, with refined features and a kindly smile that made him seem especially approachable.
It was none other than Yan Shaozhe, dean of Shrek Academy's Martial Soul Department!
"Student El."
A bead of cold sweat formed on Yan Shaozhe's forehead.
"I will give you a satisfactory resolution regarding Teacher Zhou Yi's offense against your family and her insults toward Student Huo Yutong."
"There really is no need to make a Limit Douluo rush about over such a small matter."
For fuck's sake, how the hell did you turn this into such a huge mess?!
Without otherwise betraying his feelings, Yan Shaozhe shot Zhou Yi a look filled with disgust.
If a Limit Douluo really came to Shrek demanding an accounting, they would have quite a spectacle on their hands!
As for the possibility that there was no Limit Douluo and El was merely bluffing...
Yan Shaozhe glanced at the pendant in El's hand.
The aura lingering on it was immensely powerful. Even if its owner wasn't a Limit Douluo, they had to be a Super Douluo whose cultivation far surpassed his.
And that aura belonged to ultimate fire!
Ultimate fire!
His disciple Ma Xiaotao's fire attribute was already extremely close to ultimate fire. In fact, if not for the flaw of the rampant evil fire inherent in her Evil Fire Phoenix, Xiaotao probably would have achieved it long ago!
For that very reason, no one understood ultimate fire better than he did.
A Super Douluo with that attribute was practically no different from an ordinary Limit Douluo.
They could absolutely be treated as an expert at the Limit Douluo level.
"First, on behalf of Shrek Academy, I apologize to you and Student Huo Yutong."
Yan Shaozhe bowed deeply to El.
"The academy failed in its oversight by allowing a teacher like Zhou Yi into its ranks-a teacher who decides whether students stay or leave based on her personal likes and dislikes, wantonly attacks and physically punishes students, and tramples on their dignity."
"And the academy's inadequate supervision is a failure of duty on my part as dean of the Martial Soul Department."
Yan Shaozhe's face was full of contrition.
"In a few days, during the Freshman Assessment, I will have Teacher Zhou publicly apologize to you and Student Huo Yutong before the entire school.
"Furthermore, the academy will permanently disqualify her from all future senior teacher evaluations, remove her from her position as homeroom teacher, and bar her from taking charge of a class for at least ten years."
"What?!"
Hearing that she would never again have a chance at a senior teacher title, and that she could no longer enjoy a homeroom teacher's power over her students' fates, Zhou Yi instinctively cried out.
She reflexively wanted to protest the injustice.
Being denied the pleasure of forcing students to struggle under her thumb without being able to resist her was simply worse than death!
Her husband was Fan Yu! The deputy dean of the Shrek Soul Tool Department!
How could they treat her this way?!
"Student El, what do you think of this punishment?"
Yan Shaozhe couldn't even be bothered to glance at her. He merely sealed Zhou Yi's mouth with his soul power and immobilized her at the same time.
What insight could a middle-aged Soul Emperor who couldn't even enter the Shrek Inner Court possibly have?
She probably didn't even understand what a Limit Douluo truly represented!
Such a person wouldn't be intimidated by Shrek Academy's name.
"It's all right, I suppose."
El smacked his lips. Although he said it was all right, his expression made it obvious that he hadn't had his fill.
"But I really do still want to beat her up."
"She did insult Yu Tong, after all."
After a moment's consideration, El extended a finger toward Zhou Yi, who stood immobilized behind the lectern by Yan Shaozhe's soul power, and spoke.
"Beat Teacher Zhou up?"
Yan Shaozhe's brows drew together almost imperceptibly.
Administrative punishments and damage to Zhou Yi's reputation could still be justified with stock phrases about abusing authority and failing to fulfill a teacher's responsibilities.
But beating her up...
Whatever else she was, Zhou Yi was a Soul Emperor. As for El, talented as he might be, and powerful as his martial soul might be, his soul power fluctuations indicated that he was only a Soul Elder.
Even if he could fight above his level, could he possibly bridge thirty levels? That gap exceeded his own entire Soul Power Level!
And no matter what, Shrek couldn't seal Zhou Yi's soul power and then make her fight El.
Anything could be arranged behind closed doors.
But if word spread that they had openly gone this far to please a student, would Shrek Academy have any reputation left?
Tsk!
Yan Shaozhe rubbed his brow, his head aching.
Originally, he had merely intended to use El's status as a genius to push Zhou Yi out of the Martial Soul Department's circle of vested interests.
Along the way, he could use Zhou Yi to earn some goodwill from El, a genius with four ultimate attributes, strengthening his sense of belonging to Shrek.
Otherwise, however much of a makeshift operation Shrek might be, it would never fail to inform its teachers about a genius of this caliber.
He had personally assigned El and Huo Yutong to Zhou Yi's class and deliberately withheld that information.
Who could have imagined that El would suddenly produce an elder at the Limit Douluo level?!
And who could have imagined that the idiot Zhou Yi would seize on his family's sore spot to mock him?
Now his single-track plan had hit a dead end at both ends.
Just as Yan Shaozhe was considering how to resolve this to both El's and the academy's satisfaction,
El suddenly spoke.
"I want to face her in the Soul Fighting arena!"
Under the gazes of everyone around him, who looked at him as though he were insane, El raised his head proudly.
"No restrictions on her soul power, and no help. I want to fight her one-on-one!"
Yan Shaozhe looked astonished.
"Student El, Teacher Zhou is a Soul Emperor."
"So what if she's a Soul Emperor? A Soul Emperor is exactly who I want to fight!"
"Dean Yan, sorry for the trouble, but please release Teacher Zhou Yi from her restraints."
Meeting Zhou Yi's gaze, which seemed ready to spit fire, El declared with absolute conviction:
"No tricks are necessary. I'll beat her fair and square until even her own mother won't recognize her!"
