Early the next morning, Ran Yan appeared in the corridor with enormous dark circles under her eyes.
Last night, she had tried to search for Bo Yi on her own. But her luck seemed to have run out the night before-the night she met Bo Yi. Before she even reached the fourth floor, she encountered a terrifying, revolting monster made of lumps of flesh on the stairs.
It had taken every ounce of willpower she possessed to keep herself from screaming. Though she hadn't broken any rules, the monster had still set its sights on her. Ran Yan spent the rest of the night trying to evade and shake off the monster relentlessly pursuing her. Yet however calm she remained, she was still a newcomer entering an Instance for the first time. She ran all night, but wherever she hid, the monster always found her. She spent the entire night fleeing in panic without managing to lose it. Only when dawn began to break and the monster left on its own did she finally get a chance to catch her breath.
By the time she finally recovered, it was already time to get up. In a terrible mental state, she had no choice but to return to her ward first, leaving her no opportunity to look for Bo Yi in yesterday's Laboratory.
But as soon as she returned to the third floor, she saw that the patient NPCs, who usually dawdled and got up after the players, had already tidied themselves up and lined up in the corridor, looking refreshed. A festive atmosphere pervaded the entire line.
It made the five players standing among them, looking just as bewildered as Ran Yan, seem particularly out of place.
