If that was the case...
Bo Yi looked at the metal pole in front of him. What he had felt earlier might not have been his imagination-the poles really were getting colder.
Because they no longer wanted to help the players hold themselves in place.
The temperature was dropping slowly, though, so anyone who kept holding the pole might not notice it so quickly. But it was easy to imagine what would happen once the metal became unbearably cold: the moment the players were caught off guard and forced to let go might also be the moment they fell off their horses.
Bo Yi was considering tearing a strip from his hem to wrap around his hands for insulation when a very familiar piece of fabric was offered to him from behind.
"This pole is getting colder..." Mitian held out two strips he had torn from his own clothes. "Wrap these around your hands. It'll feel a little better."
Bo Yi's lips curved slightly, and he accepted the strips without any fuss. As he took them, however, whether deliberately or not, his fingertips brushed lightly across Mitian's palm.
That faint tickle was like a feather brushing against Mitian's heart. Mitian abruptly closed his hand, trying to catch those mischievous fingers, but the tease had already snatched his hand back.
"Thanks..." Smiling, Bo Yi waved the strips at Mitian, a sly glint in his eyes at the success of his little prank.
"You really are..." Mitian shook his head, unable to suppress the smile spreading across his face.
Unlike the sweet affection between those two, the other players were suffering through absolute hell.
"Holy shit! Why are these 'people' taking themselves apart?! Holy shit, what did he just throw at me?!!!"
"**I'm gonna die, aaaaaah! Don't throw your intestines at me,
