"Then let's begin." Antonidas nodded to Rhode and walked into the main hall of the room, where there was more open space.
Then he raised a hand.
Rhode saw streams of azure light, like glowing runes, drift from Antonidas's hand. They swirled and danced in midair, forming endlessly rotating ribbons of runes.
That was only what showed on the surface.
Rhode could sense that Antonidas was probably casting the different stages of the spell in sequence.
As arcane energy flowed from Antonidas's hands in an orderly fashion, he went through a process resembling arcane energy harmonization, spatial locking, cross-space scanning, and the establishment of coordinate anchors.
Rhode observed carefully, while also trying to break it down into a spatial spell model he could understand more easily.
But the spell model taking shape in his mind was different from the ones before.
It was a sphere!
It looked like a large sphere formed from many, many overlapping smaller spheres, each with its own color, making the whole thing a riot of hues.
Could each of these little spheres represent a tiny spatial node?
But he had no idea where the input point was, or where the output point was.
This is so hard to understand.
While Rhode was still thinking, Antonidas's casting was already nearing its end.
First, a magic circle roughly three meters in diameter appeared on the floor in the center of the hall. Then a blue-and-white Portal "popped" up from it.
Nor was this portal fixed and motionless. It expanded and contracted as though breathing, carrying some strange arcane fluctuation.
Looking into the portal, he could even make out a faint cluster of blue-and-white buildings. That was probably an image of their destination, Dalaran.
Even a mage like Rhode was left a little dazzled by the large-scale teleportation
