Southshore still had only one tavern, Monica's, but it had been expanded and given an official name: the Southshore Tavern!

After all, Southshore was now a prime location, with sailors, merchants, and workers from all over passing through.

Some came to do business, while others stopped to rest on their way elsewhere. Either way, there were plenty of customers, and the tavern's original size could no longer accommodate them all.

The limited time available for expansion had left the tavern's decor and furnishings somewhat basic, but the customers did not particularly care. Having drinks, food, and somewhere to rest was good enough.

Rhode was now in a VIP suite on the tavern's second floor-the owner, Monica, had made a special effort to set it aside for him, since rooms were in short supply too.

The suite included two small rooms, one serving as a bedroom and the other as a sitting room.

Rhode sat at a small table in the sitting room, with Baturo and the goblin Gixil across from him.

Originally, Rhode had wanted to catch up with his old friends Stalvan and Nat Pagle, but he had been told that Stalvan had left Southshore to teach in Moonbrook, near Stormwind City to the south.

Nat Pagle, meanwhile, had set off to roam the seas with Captain Sander. Apparently, they were heading to another continent, Kalimdor, because Nat Pagle wanted to fish for sharks in a place called Tidal Bay...

That put an end to Rhode's plans to catch up with his old friends. He would have to find people to discuss business with instead.

Lilia had taken Kienlo out to have fun. Neither of them liked such dull "business talks."
