Rhode and Chen Stormstout took bottles from the liquor cabinet one after another, set them on the table, and toasted to anything and everything.
Ever since his drinking contest with Captain Ironhill in Dun Garok, Rhode had naturally had no fear of occasions like this.

Many of these were Southshore specialties, though plenty of fine drinks had also been shipped in from elsewhere.

As he spoke, Rhode took out the bottle, pulled out its wooden cork, and poured the drink into a glass.
The beer was a dark greenish-black, with a head of white foam visible at the top of the glass.
