So many! There had to be twenty or thirty of them.

Behind them lay a troll who looked battered from head to toe-the Fang of the Uncrowned.

His hands and feet were bound, and he lay on the ground, breathing weakly.

How was I supposed to fight this?

If I cast Great Fireball, I could easily hit him by mistake.

Uh, never mind friendly fire. If I accidentally blasted the cave down, I'd get buried too.

Besides, the Syndicate members here seemed to be of a decent level. They probably weren't weak fighters.

Before Rhode could think it through, the Syndicate members made their move.

With a shout, they charged at the group, wielding all kinds of weapons.

"We grab the troll and run," Rhode told Lilia and Kienlo quietly.

Both girls nodded, then charged to meet the enemy. The sounds of fighting soon filled the cave.

Rhode, however, stayed out of the fight.

He used Blink to reach the table, knocked a Syndicate member blocking his way flying with a punch from Mage Hand, then gently extended the hand again and scooped up the Fang of the Uncrowned.

"Got him! Pull back!" Rhode shouted over his shoulder to the two girls.

Kienlo immediately turned and leaped back.

Lilia, however, was getting carried away with the fight, alternating between swinging her sword and throwing punches and kicks.

Just then, a rumbling sound came from behind them.

"Damn it, they're closing the stone door!" Rhode shouted angrily. He grabbed Lilia and darted backward, but he was still a moment too late. The stone door had already closed.

Seriously? It even had a mechanism?

But that wasn't enough to stop Rhode.

Another Mage Hand appeared and slammed a fist into the stone door, leaving a deep, unmistakable dent.

Then its punches rained
