Hearing his own name, Rhode momentarily forgot to disguise his voice and blurted out a curse.
He had never expected that the person Kandray wanted to kill would be him!
What kind of grudge was this? Hadn't he only locked the guy up for a while?
"Y-you... why did your voice change?" Kandray went pale and sprang to his feet again.
But he quickly caught on and took another look at Rhode's Mage Robe.
"Y-you're Rhode?!" Kandray finally recognized him.
In fact, Rhode was still wearing his usual blue Mage Robe, with nothing more than a mask added. Both his build and his clothes made him easy to recognize.
It was just that, in this different setting, Kandray had never imagined Rhode would appear here wearing a mask, so he had failed to make the connection.
