As the chanting continued, more arcane power converged on the runes from every direction, flowing along the rune chains into the underground magic array.

The array reacted even more strongly.

As though it had been charged with enough energy, one section after another lit up.

About fifteen minutes later, a dazzling magical pattern emerged in its entirety across the square.

The clear sky above the square began to mirror the brilliant colors on the ground.

Clouds of every color suddenly filled the sky, having gathered from every direction without anyone noticing when.

The mages finally stopped chanting.

The array was now fully activated and no longer needed their magic to sustain it.

It grew brighter and brighter, until it radiated a blazing light too intense to look at directly.

Then three men within the array stepped forward.

They were the three Archmages-Antonidas, Anasterian, and Rhode.

Together, they would complete the final stage of the teleportation.

Only the most powerful mages in Azeroth could handle this task. Even an Archmage a rank below them might be consumed by the terrifying energy of the Book of Medivh.

Light streamed from each of the three Archmages' hands, enveloping the Book of Medivh above the array.

With a faint raven's cry, the Book of Medivh floated toward the center of the array of its own accord.

The next instant, a brilliant purple pillar of light erupted from the array's center, engulfing the Book of Medivh!

Then the pillar extended beyond the book and into the sky, piercing the heavens like a sharp spear before plunging into the dense clouds.

Yet the canopy of clouds did not break.

Hundreds of lightning bolts flashed simultaneously above the thick cloud layer, bathing the entire sky in a bleak glare. Rolling thunder roared like the wrath of heaven.
