In the dim woods, Rhode saw Alex making the gestures for a spell, with a spear formed from Mage Hand hovering before him.

He had not used Glamour. Apparently, he had been so eager to strike that he attacked the moment he saw Katel enter the woods.

Lieutenant Drake stood in front of Katel, protecting him with a shield in his left hand and a sword in his right.

Looks like this guy is a warrior who can switch freely between offense and defense.

Katel tightly clutched the box containing the Ruby Earrings that Rhode had given him.

Hearing the sound from ahead, Lieutenant Drake and Katel both looked up.

Once he saw that Rhode had arrived, Lieutenant Drake smiled in relief and said, "The fish took the bait. Now it's your turn to take over..."

Rhode nodded.

Before revealing himself, he had also removed his Glamour.

At that moment, Alex slowly turned to face Rhode.

Perhaps he was the sort of person who kept all his troubles bottled up.

People like that were all the more prone to going to extremes.

Now he wanted to hear Alex's explanation. He truly wanted to know why Alex had done this.
