The Ender Dragon did not pull out her claws. Instead, she channeled the special energy of the End, pouring it frantically into his main body. "Stay in the End with me forever, you born Creator God."
Li Chen hurriedly commanded his split body to blink directly behind the Ender Dragon's wing roots. Several tentacles shot out, wrapped in Wither energy compressed to its utmost limit, and stabbed straight at her back near the bases of her wings.
But the distorted space meant that what he saw was not necessarily real. The tentacles failed to pierce her body as expected. Most missed, and those that struck only pierced her wings.
The moment the tentacles pulled free, the End Crystals restored her injuries, leaving her as good as new.
Although he had inflicted no meaningful damage, he had at least made the Ender Dragon teleport away with a look of regret.
Li Chen had no idea what she was regretting. Was it that she had failed to seriously injure him, or that she had failed to kill him outright?
Then he shook his head, deciding that neither was the reason. When Di Tian returned from the End, he had said she had specifically asked to see him. There were also the words she had just spoken.
The Ender Dragon most likely knew about the Wither Storm. In that case, she should have known that damage of this level could not possibly kill him, or even seriously injure him.
Besides, she clearly had the power to stop his split bodies from destroying the End Crystals, yet she focused her attacks solely on the main body where he resided.
None of that mattered anymore. He commanded his split body to blink again, while his main body fired three Cursed Lasers simultaneously.
Just as the
