Childhood and Rescue

Xiao Yun came from a poor village and suffered martial-soul backlash for eight years. The flames severely damaged her internal organs and major meridians, leaving her largely bedridden and unable to cultivate. A Spirit Hall Soul Emperor suppressed the condition once but could not cure it. Her parents continued asking passing Soul Masters for help 15.

Sword Douluo found that he could offer roughly half a year without backlash, but warned that its eventual return would be worse. Xiao Yun accepted the prospect because she wanted peaceful time with her parents and doubted she could otherwise survive another six months. Her humble upbringing leaves her deeply deferential. She insists on handling her own needs rather than accepting a wealthy young lady’s treatment, bows to Ning Chuan, and initially treats herself as his servant. Even months after joining the sect, she struggles to accept that Bone Douluo’s discipleship makes her part of the family.
