Family and Departure for Shrek

Ning Rongrong grows up doted on by Ning Fengzhi, Sword Douluo, and Bone Douluo. Her fifth elder brother, Ning Chuan, is six years older and frequently sends her gifts after founding the sect’s Merchant Guild. She leaves the sect alone to attend Shrek Academy, while her father arranges secret protection and regular reports on her circumstances 1 7.

Ning Chuan’s Intervention

During her early time at Shrek, Dai Mubai insults and physically mistreats her after she criticizes his failure to win Zhu Zhuqing’s affection. Ning Chuan confronts him during a visit and demands an apology. Rongrong accepts Dai Mubai’s apology and asks her brother not to escalate the dispute, fearing that Shrek’s talented students could become dangerous enemies 8.

When Tang San questions Ning Chuan’s claim to have founded the Merchant Guild, Rongrong publicly confirms it and rejects the accusation that her brother is a thief. Despite the confrontation, she chooses to remain at Shrek: she wants to cultivate independently rather than remain sheltered, and privately hopes to prevent a feud between the academy and her sect 11 12.
