Suddenly, his expression hardened. Through the barrier he had set up in Qingcheng, he sensed the presence of high-tier professionals fighting nearby.

Wei Yuan probed deeper, his brows drawing together. "The Godfall Cult... They're a bunch of lunatics who'll throw their lives away to achieve their goals."
"I'm afraid Bai Qiu Li's recent performance has put her on their radar."
The Godfall Cult was an organization often mentioned in class, one that did nothing but act like hyenas.
Their creed was that gods existed among the myriad races, and only by siding with those races and bringing their divine power to Great Xia could Great Xia survive the demonic apocalypse.
Yi Tian found it absurd. Whether gods even existed was still uncertain.
And if the myriad races really descended upon Blue Star, would Great Xia still be Great Xia?
Yet the Godfall Cult eagerly pursued that very goal, targeting anyone who posed a threat to the myriad races.

Wei Yuan began speaking faster. "I have to get there and help as soon as possible."

"If the Godfall Cult is determined to kill Bai Qiu Li at any cost, Jiang Yuan Shuang might not be able to protect her!"
"I'll handle it." Yi Tian's words drew a strange look from Wei Yuan.
"Don't worry. I can still keep my own employee safe. Tell Senior Jiang she doesn't need to hold back. Just kill them all!"

But she could not continue her attack. Another assassin crept up and detonated nearby, forcing her to abandon her offense and shield Bai Qiu Li.

"Spatial abilities are incredibly rare. There shouldn't be anyone in all of Great Xia with them. Could she have turned invisible?"
The Mechanical Augmenter leading them was dumbfounded too. Their primary objective was to eliminate Bai Qiu Li. Otherwise, why would they have dared to intercept Jiang Yuan Shuang's Hovercar?
And now their target had vanished into thin air?
Jiang Yuan Shuang was briefly taken aback, but recalling Bai Qiu Li's words before she vanished, and seeing that the Godfall Cult was equally clueless...
