- Class-name distinction: Dragon Martial Spear God was the Tier 4 name shown in Yi Tian’s original investment opportunity, not Wan Jiang’s starting class. His actual Tier 0 class was Dragon Gallantry Gunfighter 7 8.
- Divinity distinction: Possessing a complete divine core did not immediately make him a god. He had not yet ascended to a divine throne when he fought the Wan Family’s lesser gods 444.
Background / History
Wan Jiang grew up in a military family, learning from his father to serve Great Xia. Before awakening his class, he was No. 3 Middle School’s leading combat prodigy, known throughout Qingcheng and Lincheng. Receiving the Carpenter class prevented him from following the military career he wanted, so he became a combat teaching assistant instead 7.
His father disappeared from the battlefield three years before his introduction, leaving him a ring. Wan Jiang continued training because he wanted to reach the front and find him. His mother, the school’s academic affairs director, repeatedly blocked his applications for permanent employment because she feared that a noncombat Classholder would die on the battlefield 7 8.
Yi Tian recognized both his Gold potential and the importance of his inherited ring. After Wan Jiang signed an employee contract and gained a Legendary combat class, Wei Yuan arranged his transfer to the East China border forces. Before leaving, Wan Jiang acknowledged his mother’s fears, promised to defend the homeland and bring his father back, and kowtowed to her three times 8.
The ring later revealed the Demon-Sealing Tower. Through a projection encountered inside it, Wan Jiang learned that his father was alive in another world and originally came from outside Blue Star. Wan Ming had found refuge in Great Xia as a child, joined its army, and raised a family there before returning to his original world 17 106 107.
Appearance
- Build: Firm, well-defined musculature, visible when a Nebula Race lightning attack destroyed his shirt 299.
- Family resemblance: His face strongly resembles Wan Ming’s, and his tall, straight figure reminds Wan Mingyu of her son in his youth 107 443.
- Thunder Bone markings: Purple lightning patterns appear on his skin, while his bones shine purple-gold beneath it after the SSS-rank physique’s integration 106.
- Battle aura: Accumulated combat bonuses can manifest as a crimson blood aura 255 300.
- Military bearing: As deputy commander, his expression becomes more mature and resolute. Eleven years later, he wears an immaculate dark gray uniform and meticulously combed hair 382 461.
Personality
Wan Jiang is patriotic and intensely protective of his family. His initial ambition combines finding his father with preventing other families from suffering at the hands of foreign races and evil demons. His loyalty to his mother remains stronger than the appeal of wealth or status: he refuses the Wan Family succession because accepting would mean leaving her behind 8 444 445.
He relishes direct combat and chooses powers that strengthen his ability to dominate the battlefield rather than prioritize infiltration or versatility. He willingly wounds himself or takes enemy attacks to activate his low-health bonuses, but he is not oblivious to danger; during a demon tide, he deliberately avoids Demon Lord-level enemies that he cannot yet defeat 17 31 106 255.
Wan Jiang is grateful to Yi Tian and measures himself against his fellow employees. He rejects recruitment from the American Empire, worries about falling behind his colleagues, and readily admits when military administration has distracted him from training 64 396 443.
His usual respect for military discipline can give way to anxiety over his father’s safety. Later, as Great Xia’s leader, he advocates containing the Eternal Abyss rather than launching an unrestricted invasion, and refuses to exploit Chen Mo’s Nether Realm for national gain 401 403 404 461 462.
Abilities & Skills
Spear Mastery
Wan Jiang possesses exceptional spear talent even before acquiring a combat class. His experience remains usable when the first War God Trial strips away his powers 7 231.
- Armybreaker: A destructive spear technique used against Blood Demons and Demon Lords. In the powerless trial, he reproduces one of its movements with a broken streetlight pole 31 105 231.
- One Man Holds the Pass: Used during his low-health finishing attack against the third-floor Plague Roars 31.
- Spear Shadow Formation: A Tier 1 formation attack particularly effective against groups; Thunderclap Battle Physique adds lightning proportional to its power 31 32.
- Dragon Soul Protection: One of his initial class skills; its specific effects are not detailed in the provided passages 8.
- Great Wilderness Starflare Spear: Used with Dragon Hunter Domain to grievously wound Rakshasa Evil Ghosts 115.
Dragon Gallantry and Peerless
Dragon Gallantry originally grants fear immunity, increases agility and constitution by 1% per 1% health lost, and adds 2% strength per nearby enemy. Clearing the tower’s first floor upgrades it to Peerless 8 17.
- Status immunity: Peerless ignores all negative statuses, including plague and a Heavenflame Demon Lord’s burning effect 31 105 255.
- Low-health scaling: Every 1% health lost increases all four primary attributes by 1% 255.
- Enemy-count scaling: Each nearby enemy increases all four primary attributes by 3%, making enemy hordes a source of additional power 31 255.
Thunderclap Battle Physique
His first transcendent physique is an S-rank lightning-based enhancement, later replaced by Tribulation-Annihilating Thunder Bone 32 106.
- Greatly increases attack and movement speed 32.
- Every attack summons lightning; stronger attacks produce greater lightning range and damage 32.
- Lightning has a chance to paralyze enemies 32.
Tribulation-Annihilating Thunder Bone
At SSS-rank, this physique doubles strength and constitution, reinforces his muscles and bones, produces annihilating thunderstorms with his movements, and absorbs lightning damage. Its X-rank evolution adds stronger multipliers and dedicated techniques 106 241.
| X-rank effect / technique | Function |
|---|---|
| Attribute enhancement | Strength and constitution ×300%; agility and spirit ×200% 241. |
| Lightning immunity and absorption | Negates and absorbs lightning damage. A Nebula Race heavenly-lightning strike leaves him unharmed, with his earlier wounds also healed 241 299. |
| Tribulation Thunder Armor-Piercing | Releases lightning before each attack, with intensity based on attack strength; inflicts paralysis and armor-piercing effects 241. |
| Lightning Flash | Turns him into lightning and teleports him up to his level ×20 meters; seven-second cooldown 241. |
| Thunder Armor | Concentrates lightning armor on a body part to enhance its strength and damage; also used defensively against White Tiger 241 302. |
- His lightning destroys a Shadow Demon Pillar sealing Black Tortoise—an obstacle requiring exceptionally high-ranking light or lightning power 187.
- Lightning immunity does not negate every form of suppression: the Inferno Executioner’s divine-core power makes activating his Thunder Bone difficult 262.
Four Symbols War Master
His third-tier class draws on the powers of four ancient divine beasts. It does not summon the beasts themselves 198.
- Black Tortoise Guardian Aspect: Blocks Malik’s Spectral Blade without injury 212.
- White Tiger Slaughter Aspect: Multiplies his speed and supplies enough burst damage to break Malik’s weapon 212 213.
- Azure Dragon and Vermilion Bird: Available among the class’s four divine-beast powers, though their individual effects are not specified 198.
- Aspect switching: Only one of the four powers can be active at a time in the documented Olynx battle, but he can switch freely 213.
- Power of the Primordial Four Symbols: Later manifests all four beast phantoms in a single attack, defeating four demigod-strength opponents without using his divine core 444.
- Dragon Hunter Domain: An exclusive Nine Luminaries Dragon Hunter skill retained in his documented battles 56 115.
War God’s Heart
The first War God Trial grants an ability centered on inexhaustible fighting will and escalating combat strength 237 255.
- Grants immunity to mental attacks 255.
- Every second in combat increases all four primary attributes by 2%, up to 120%; this accumulated bonus disappears after combat 255.
- Every 10% health lost adds another 15% to all four primary attributes 255.
War God Physique and Divine Core
The X-rank War God Physique strengthens his flesh and fuses with the Thunder Bone, which tempers his bones 271.
- Doubles physical strength and bodily toughness 271.
- Every 10% health lost reduces damage taken by 15% 271.
- Physical injuries do not diminish his combat capability 271.
- His two X-rank physiques let him recover from severe injuries faster than White Tiger’s divine-beast bloodline 303.
- The complete War God Divine Core allows him to contend with actual gods, despite not yet having ascended to a divine throne during the Wan Family matches 396 444.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Demon-Sealing Tower ring — Inherited from Wan Ming; contains trials that grant talent upgrades, body tempering, and transcendent physiques. As a Wan Family sacred treasure, it becomes central to the dispute over his father. Removing it after his extensive use would tear his Divine Soul and damage his tempered body 8 17 442.
- Coiling Dragon Armor — Legendary armor obtained from a mystery box given by Yi Tian; helps him prepare for perfect thousand-jun body tempering 30.
- Fallen Stone Tablet — Divine artifact sent by Heracles as a congratulatory gift. Yi Tian verifies that it is safe before Wan Jiang binds it 343.
- Eternal Spear — World Artifact forged by the World Tree. Great Xia entrusts it to him after the World Tree’s death makes it usable 402.
- Monster-Luring Incense — Draws the monster tide away from his school’s defense line during the first War God Trial 237.

- Bai Qiu Li — Fellow employee and Team One companion. Understands his deliberate damage-taking tactics and accompanies him in the Black Tortoise rescue and Sword Mound expedition 187 255.
- Ye Xiu and Jiang Che — Fellow employees and teammates during Great Xia’s campaign against Yagu Dynasty resource sites 154.
- Lu Xinghe — Recommends him for the War God Divine Core trial and explains its requirements; had known Wan Ming as a comrade in previous lifetimes 225 231 237.
- White Tiger — Level-100 divine beast, former companion of the previous War God, and tester of the divine throne’s successor. Recognizes Wan Jiang after their duel and helps protect him during the final trial 303 305 343.
- Chen Mo — Former comrade-in-arms and later Nether God. Wan Jiang insists that their bond is not a transactional partnership and rejects proposals to profit from the Nether Realm 115 462.
- Wan Mingyu — Paternal grandmother and Wan Family head. Offers him succession after witnessing his strength; later allows him to retain the Demon-Sealing Tower despite refusing to stay 441 444 445.
- Wan Xiong — Uncle, who enthusiastically recognizes him as his nephew and is astonished by his combat potential 441 443 444.
- Xiao Ziyan — Provides information about Wan Ming’s predicament and helps receive Wan Jiang’s group in the Radiant Stars Nation 403 441.
