The flippant expression on Lynn's face slowly faded. He looked solemnly at Silver Fantasy, who sat across from him.
"If you knew the person fighting you right now was me, would you go all out? Would you think I'd kill my own family?"
Silver Fantasy gazed into his eyes. She saw no hint that he was joking.
She opened her mouth.

Because deep down, you knew you weren't facing an enemy. You might force yourself to go all out, but you would never believe the other person would actually kill you, and it would be difficult for you to approach the battle with the intent to kill them.
