Ch. 2201That Figure Beneath the Red Moon!

Aivier returned to the Castle with Lynn and the Self-Binding Angel, but the angels there recognized the Self-Binding Angel as a traitor and accused her of killing them. As Archdemons broke through the walls, a mysterious armored figure beneath the Blood Moon killed Shiliye, and Lynn felt an inexplicable familiarity with her.

  • Aivier landed in the Castle grounds and was greeted by angels, while their leader and followers arrived bloodied.
  • The angels saw the Self-Binding Angel and attacked her, but Aivier forced them to stop.
  • The leading Archangel, Shiliye, accused the Self-Binding Angel of falling into chaos and killing them, while the Self-Binding Angel insisted she had never betrayed her sisters.
  • Archdemons burst through the Castle wall as a black lance pierced Shiliye, killing her before she could finish speaking.
  • Lynn saw a black-armored figure beneath the Blood Moon catch the returning lance and felt an intense familiarity with her, though Aivier could not see the figure or the lance.

Ch. 2202I will kill you once and for all in the future!

Lynn confronted the recurring figure who attacked him, vowing to reach her and kill her in the future, then unleashed his firstborn power to turn the battle against the Archdemons. As Aivier and the angels fought on, Lynn rushed to seal the rift, but the figure intercepted him with a black blade.

  • The helmeted figure lunged at Lynn, but he stopped her spear and vowed to hold her responsible for the losses she had caused and kill her in the future.
  • Lynn blasted the figure away with firstborn power, prompting the angels to recognize him as their Demon Lord.
  • Lynn empowered the angels and charged the Archdemons alongside Zuo Zuo, splitting the leading Archdemon with a powerful strike.
  • Aivier and the angels attacked the Archdemons while Aivier urged Lynn to seal the rift.
  • Lynn rushed toward the rift, but the helmeted figure appeared and attacked him with her black blade.

Ch. 2203Was it finally my turn?

Lynn discovered that the armored enemy was his Matriarch, whose face matched the Self-Binding Angel’s, and the revelation left the angels struggling to understand what had happened. After the Polluter army was driven back, the angels recognized Lynn as the Demon Lord, but he remained fixed on the subdued figure.

  • Lynn and Zuo Zuo attacked the armored figure, breaking her helmet and revealing the face of Lynn’s Matriarch, whose wings had been severed.
  • Aivier rushed in, disarmed the figure, and pinned her down, revealing that she looked identical to the Self-Binding Angel.
  • The Self-Binding Angel recognized the figure as herself and asked Lynn, “Was it finally my turn, too?”
  • Lynn sealed the rift before him, causing the Archdemons to crumble into ashes as the angels drove back the Polluter army.
  • The angels knelt before Lynn and asked if he was the Demon Lord, then realized the subdued figure was identical to their former commander.

Ch. 2204The loop!

Lynn learned that the angels had trapped themselves and the Polluters in a Red Moon loop to protect the gate and the Demon Lord’s legacy. The angels had been cycling through the war since around the Great Fall three thousand years earlier, and the story left Lynn asking who had altered the Red Moon and warned them.

  • Lynn told the angels that the Matriarch they had fought was an illusion created by the Polluters and asked why the battle had repeated.
  • The leading angel explained that their commander had activated the Red Moon, resetting events to half an hour before the war whenever the Polluters breached the gate.
  • Aivier confirmed that Lynn was an incarnation of her father, and the angels bowed to him, saying they had protected his Temple.
  • The angel dated the beginning of the conflict to Year 361 of the Fifth Era, which the Self-Binding Angel recognized as about three thousand years earlier.
  • Lynn learned that the loop preserved memories and corpses even as the angels returned to their starting positions after death.
  • The angel said someone had modified their Red Moon before the war and warned them that enemies from beyond space-time would attack.

Ch. 2205An inevitable calamity!

Lynn learned that the Red Moon’s loop restarted automatically at its appointed time and discovered that his future self had created the mechanism. Shiliye relayed his warning that Lynn would face inevitable calamities, but might still change the future if he endured them.

  • The Red Moon reset the scene, returning Lynn, Aivier, and the Self-Binding Angel to the start of the loop.
  • The Self-Binding Angel comforted Lynn, and Aivier vowed to guard the Castle against the approaching Archdemons and the other Lynn.
  • Shiliye and the Archangels greeted Lynn as their Demon Lord, and Shiliye explained that the loop restarted automatically when its appointed time arrived.
  • Shiliye revealed that the masked figure who had modified the Red Moon was Lynn himself, promising to return in three thousand years and reclaim his legacy.
  • Shiliye passed on the future Lynn’s message that Lynn would eventually step outside time and could still turn everything around if he endured the calamities ahead.

Ch. 2206He Will Join the War!

Lynn learned that opening the Castle’s Inner Court would end the loop and bring a war, then used his Firstborn Power to open its door. Outside, Aivier grew uneasy as the expected enemy attack failed to appear.

  • Lynn considered his future self’s warning that many people would die and asked Shiliye to lead him to the door.
  • Shiliye explained that the Inner Court had been guarded for generations and confirmed that opening the door would break the loop.
  • Shiliye revealed that a man from three thousand years ago had warned that opening the door would bring filthy things down and that he would join the war.
  • Lynn covered the stone door with his Firstborn Power and began opening it.
  • Aivier and the Self-Binding Angel waited outside the Castle, while Aivier sensed that something major was about to happen.

Ch. 2207The figure upon the throne!

As the Blood Moon vanished, the repeating cycle ended, and the angels and demons who had endured it dissolved into ash. Inside the Castle, Lynn met a figure who looked exactly like him, but the figure said he was only a lingering consciousness left by the Violet Great Lord.

  • The Blood Moon dimmed and disappeared, breaking the Barrier and ending the cycle.
  • The demons and angels began to crumble into ash, and Shiliye told the Self-Binding Angel that their mission was complete before she vanished.
  • The Self-Binding Angel tried to stop Shiliye from fading, but Shiliye told her not to disturb Lynn as he reclaimed what belonged to him.
  • As the Castle and Wasteland deteriorated, Aivier sensed that something was coming.
  • Lynn entered the Throne Hall and saw a winged figure with his own face seated on the Blackstone Throne.
  • Lynn recognized the figure's connection to the Violet Great Lord, and the figure explained that he was a lingering consciousness controlling the body.

Ch. 2208Terror beyond time!

Outside the Castle, Aivier and the Self-Binding Angel faced nightmare-like beings that emerged through rifts in time, while Lynn learned that the white-haired figure in the Throne Hall was an imprint left by the Violet Great Lord. The angel was overwhelmed and Aivier fought at full strength as a raven’s cry rang out, while the figure began to rise and the hall’s murals illuminated.

  • Aivier saw purple-black rifts in time open outside the ruined Castle, and monstrous beings and over a hundred Archdemons emerged from them.
  • Aivier shouted for the Self-Binding Angel to run as the beings spread ripples that froze the surrounding space-time and overwhelmed the angel.
  • Aivier resisted the temporal freeze with chaos, drew the Black Sword, and attacked one of the twisted beings as a raven cried across the sky.
  • In the Throne Hall, Lynn learned that the white-haired man was an imprint split off by the Violet Great Lord after taking control of the Sleeper.
  • The white-haired man told Lynn that he had briefly awakened three thousand years earlier and that Lynn had saved him.
  • The white-haired man rose from the Throne, and the hall’s murals began to light up with scenes of his victories in the Abyss.

Ch. 2209I'm the Only One Left Alive!

Lynn learned that the white-haired man had become part of the Sleeper and that the ravens were anchors of his humanity, keeping him able to resist the Sleeper. Outside the Castle, the Self-Binding Angel awoke to find the nightmare creatures held at bay by the distant white-haired figure.

  • The white-haired man explained that the Sleeper's growing nightmares threatened both their world and the world beyond, but his surviving humanity could still fight back.
  • He revealed that each raven he had left in the Main Universe anchored his humanity, and Lynn admitted he was the only raven still alive.
  • The white-haired man said Lynn must survive and promised to give him the Demonic Body, believing his true form would eventually meet Lynn.
  • The Self-Binding Angel awoke after hearing a raven's cry and found Aivier badly injured beside her.
  • The Self-Binding Angel and Aivier saw the white-haired figure standing before the nightmare creatures, which had stopped at the boundary of the wasteland.

Ch. 2210The laws of causality still held!

Aivier and the Self-Binding Angel witnessed a silver-haired swordsman drive three temporal monsters out of their time, and suspected he was Lynn from the future fighting his Time War. After the loop ended and the Barrier broke, a corrupted army of demons and Gargoyles from the Abyss Seventh Plane approached the First Abyss Plane.

  • Aivier warned the Self-Binding Angel to keep away from the silver-haired figure as he confronted three twisted beings and declared that causality guaranteed his existence.
  • The Silver-Haired Man drew his sword and struck, causing himself and the monsters to vanish from their current point in time.
  • Aivier concluded they could not interfere, while the Self-Binding Angel suspected the swordsman was Lynn from a distant future.
  • Aivier realized Polluters may have infiltrated the Abyss long ago and warned that the broken Barrier could draw more of them to the First Abyss Plane.
  • The Self-Binding Angel spotted a huge force of demons and Gargoyles approaching, their bodies radiating the same corrupted aura as the Polluters.

Ch. 2211A single slash to shatter the heavens!

Aivier saw a Calamity’s enormous eye forming over the First Abyss Plane as demons converged on the Castle, but Lynn shattered the eye with a slash. Lynn emerged with the Violet Great Lord’s Demonic Body and declared himself Lucifer before revealing that the Calamity would soon appear.

  • Aivier sensed a watching presence and rushed to warn Lynn as demons gathered and charged beneath the forming eye.
  • Lynn’s blade destroyed the enormous Vertical Pupil, freeing Aivier from the Chaos stirred by its gaze.
  • Aivier saw Lynn emerge from the collapsing Castle with white hair, Demon Wings, and the Night Demon Blade, and mistook him for her father.
  • Lynn briefly claimed to be Lucifer, then joked with the Self-Binding Angel and said they needed to face the approaching danger.
  • Lynn sensed traces of time in the shattered Wasteland and asked whether the Calamity had already been there.

Ch. 2212Breakout!

Lynn and Aivier escaped the Castle after Lynn absorbed the lingering consciousness of Aivier’s father and gathered the souls left behind. They reached the border of the Main Universe, but the calamity’s gaze still followed them.

  • Lynn realized his future self had established the Blood Moon barrier and told the Self-Binding Angel they needed to leave the Castle.
  • Lynn collected the intact souls of the dead with his Soul Lamp and told Aivier that he had merged with her father’s lingering consciousness.
  • Lynn and Aivier fought through the corrupted demon army and escaped into the Sea of Mists.
  • Lynn followed his mark through the mist and led Aivier to the border of the Main Universe.

Ch. 2213The Battle of Heaven!

Lynn sent Aivier to Hell to prepare for war while he drew the calamity away from the Abyss. As he set out alone, memories from his ancient lingering consciousness revealed the origins of the Battle of Heaven and the outsiders’ arrival in the New World.

  • Lynn told Aivier to reach Hell and ready their forces while he lured the calamity away from the Abyss.
  • Aivier reluctantly left after Lynn promised he would survive, then shouted for him not to die.
  • Lynn bantered with Zuo Zuo before setting off across the fringes of the Main Universe.
  • Lynn recalled that his lingering consciousness dated back to the New World’s early days and identified a forgotten conflict as the Battle of Heaven.
  • Lynn learned that Ether, Blood Core, and Dreamwalker had entered the New World together to stop the Lord of the End’s revival.

Ch. 2214The largest Time War ever!

Lynn learned that the Great Lord's war against the Outsiders had been fought to prevent the dream world from being forced into another cycle of Reincarnation, while the Lord of the End's awakening drew near. He raced toward the sealed site of the Battle of Heaven as his future self fought invaders trying to alter the past.

  • Lynn realized the Lord of the End would awaken when the Sleeper and the Firstborn of Orderliness finished merging, and that the Reincarnation God-King's plans may have hastened it.
  • Lynn inferred that the Great Lord fought Ether and Blood Core to prevent the Outsiders from restarting Reincarnation and destroying the dream world.
  • Lynn concluded that Ether's later defense line across the stars might have been built to delay the Lord of the End's awakening.
  • Lynn told Zuo Zuo he could not use the Great Lord's lingering consciousness to strike the approaching Calamity again, and that it could guide him to the Battle of Heaven's sealed site.
  • Lynn encountered a Time War as rifts opened behind him, then realized his future self was fighting outside-time invaders to protect him.
  • Lynn continued making spatial leaps toward his destination while his future self held the invaders at bay.

Ch. 2215One last gamble!

Lynn raced toward the battlefield of the Battle of Heaven while the calamity’s projection pursued and overwhelmed him. After reaching the star that marked the battlefield’s location, he found the path onward, but the projection descended before he could escape.

  • Lynn used spatial laws to flee as the calamity’s projection took shape, while Zuo Zuo warned that it was closing in.
  • Lynn and Zuo Zuo tore through spatial turbulence and reached the isolated star that the lingering consciousness had identified as a landmark near the battlefield.
  • Lynn activated the lingering consciousness and discovered a path leading toward the main battlefield of the Battle of Heaven.
  • The calamity’s projection destroyed the star and descended, neutralizing Lynn’s firstborn power and trapping him under overwhelming pressure.
  • Lynn realized the calamity was the fused Sleeper and Firstborn, which could move freely through its own dream world, while the Main Universe’s defensive line was meant to stop the Polluters it corrupted.

Ch. 2216The battlefield of the Battle of Heaven!

Lynn and Zuo Zuo escaped the calamity’s projection by using the Violet Great Lord’s Lingering Consciousness, reaching the ruined battlefield of the Battle of Heaven. There, Lynn sensed Ether stirring and set out to explore the battlefield for the outsider’s remaining power.

  • Lynn and Zuo Zuo used the Lingering Consciousness in a powerful slash that weakened the calamity’s projection long enough for Lynn to reach the coordinates and vanish from the Main Universe.
  • Lynn and Zuo Zuo emerged above a shattered meteor, exhausted but alive, and confirmed they had reached the Battle of Heaven’s battlefield.
  • Lynn sensed Ether stirring inside him and suspected that the battlefield’s power was resonating with the outsider.
  • Lynn told Zuo Zuo that the battlefield could hide them from the calamity because it held power belonging to the outsiders who had fought the Great Lord.
  • Lynn decided to explore the battlefield and search for Ether’s remaining power, then flew into the void with Zuo Zuo on his back.

Ch. 2217Unusual Flesh Pollution!

Lynn and Zuo Zuo searched the darkness left by the Battle of Heaven and crashed into a gigantic, ancient head made of dead flesh. Lynn suspected it belonged to Blood Core, and the chapter ended as he proposed examining its severed neck.

  • Lynn illuminated the void while he and Zuo Zuo searched the ancient battlefield.
  • Zuo Zuo rode on Lynn, and their argument ended with them crashing into a floating object.
  • Lynn discovered that the object was a gigantic, sticky head made of lifeless flesh.
  • Lynn suspected the head belonged to Blood Core, the being said to have died in the Battle of Heaven.
  • Zuo Zuo recoiled from the decayed flesh, and Lynn suggested they inspect where the neck had been severed.

Ch. 2218The Head Floating in the Void!

Lynn and Zuo Zuo encountered a living, flesh-covered head in the void that drained Zuo Zuo and awakened a painful resonance in the Colossus Heart. Lynn wounded the head with the Night Demon Blade, but the resulting cry came from Zuo Zuo through his left hand.

  • Zuo Zuo was caught by blood-colored vines beneath the flesh and began losing her Flesh Vitality, so Lynn rescued her and turned her back into his left hand.
  • The head awakened and its pulsing resonance affected Lynn's Colossus Heart and caused Zuo Zuo severe pain.
  • Lynn struck the head with Firstborn Power, but the blow only cratered its face and revealed its skull's immense toughness.
  • Zuo Zuo told Lynn the head seemed to be speaking to her and wanted her to die with it, so Lynn shielded her consciousness with Firstborn Power.
  • Lynn used the Night Demon Blade and spatial laws to slash the head, but a cry of agony rang out from Zuo Zuo through the Colossus Heart.

Ch. 2219Transdimensional Link!

Lynn discovered that the mysterious head from the Battle of Heaven resonated with Zuo Zuo and the Colossus. When they used the Colossus's Transdimensional Sense, they found the head connected to the Colossus consciousness, and more ominous lights began appearing throughout its network.

  • After Lynn slashed the head, Zuo Zuo felt its pain, death, and hatred, and Lynn retreated with her.
  • Lynn activated the Colossus's blood energy and felt the same deathly resonance throughout its cells.
  • Lynn and Zuo Zuo entered the Colossus's transdimensional space and saw the head blazing like a scarlet star within the network.
  • Zuo Zuo called the presence ancient, but the red light erupted and struck them with a powerful mental impact.
  • Lynn and Zuo Zuo saw countless decayed scarlet lights appear across the network, each representing Colossus flesh and will.

Ch. 2220Blood Core!

Lynn and Zuo Zuo confronted Blood Core, a long-dead outsider whose corpse had resonated with the Colossus’s Transdimensional Link. They fought together to destroy it, but the resonance still made Zuo Zuo share the pain of their attacks.

  • Lynn severed the Colossus’s Transdimensional Link and shielded Zuo Zuo’s will with Mind Laws as the presence in the void began to awaken.
  • Blood Core’s broken corpse reassembled before them, and Lynn recognized it as one of the outsiders slain by the Violet Great Lord.
  • Blood Core attacked, and Lynn struck its arm with his Trident while Zuo Zuo cut into its chest, sharing the pain through the lingering resonance.
  • Lynn smashed Blood Core’s head, and Zuo Zuo dodged its blood-red vines before severing one of its enormous arms with her Draw-Cut.
