Caesar suddenly burst into laughter, a slightly deranged cackle.
With a trace of resolve in his eyes, he looked at Enel and struggled to his feet.

Precisely because they had known each other for years and understood each other's temperaments, Caesar hadn't wasted his breath begging for mercy.
