The New World, Qibu Island.
Shortly after Sakazuki began his free-fall dive.
Every pirate outside on the island looked up in confusion, searching for the source of the sound.
Whoosh-
It sounded as though something was flying through the sky, tearing through the air.
The noise made their ears ache, growing louder and louder until even Kaido, King, and the others rushed out of the hall, spreading their Observation Haki.
"A meteorite?"
After all, Fujitora was one of the Admirals fighting Kaido. They knew that sound all too well.
But once they extended their Observation Haki, they realized something was wrong. Sweat kept seeping from King's forehead.
"Damn it!!"
What was that bastard doing here?!
Kaido glared up at the sky, transformed into an Azure Dragon, and shot upward.
"Sakazuki!!!!"
Flames ignited around his enormous dragon body, warping the air with their heat. They gathered around his head, forming a blazing dragon's head that charged at the plummeting Sakazuki.
From a distance, it looked as though two meteorites were about to collide...
Sensing Kaido charging toward him, Sakazuki accelerated further, his entire body encased in lava.
The meteor-like mass of magma, coated in pitch-black Armament Haki, hurtled toward Kaido's flaming dragon head. The distance between them shrank rapidly...
Crack-
A thunderous explosion instantly rang out across the heavens and earth.
It left the pirates on the island dizzy. Then the raging shock wave from the collision swept over them, threatening to tear the island apart and sending the sea into turmoil.
The pirates fought through their dizziness and looked up, swallowing involuntarily, their faces filled with terror.
Someone screamed in fear:
"Run!!!!"
Only then did everyone snap out of it and scramble toward the edges of the island...
Because...
Up in the sky...
A dragon was falling...
