Having written this far, I was pretty much there.
There was hardly anything left to set up or explain.
All that remained was the war between the Navy and the pirates, the war between the World Government and the Revolutionary Army, and the final showdown.
Unfortunately, I was still 160,000 Chinese characters short of a million. At 2,000 characters a chapter, that would mean another 80 chapters...
That goal obviously wasn't very realistic.
There was no way to write that much. There wasn't much time left, and the war would be over quickly, because Carol's ability would make it almost completely one-sided.
With the top-tier fighters brought together through teleportation, even a few more of the Four Emperors couldn't stop them.
So the final showdown would begin in the next few days.
I figured I could keep writing for another ten days or half a month. Finish in early or mid-January?
If it would be over so quickly, why would I keep writing that long?
Mostly because there was so much I wanted to write for the ending.
The endings of a lot of fanfics... how should I put it? They were miles away from what I'd imagined.
I wasn't saying they were bad. Their ratings spoke for themselves, after all.
A lot of fanfics ended as soon as the enemies were wiped out.
The world was handed over either to the Revolutionary Army or to the protagonist's own faction, and it was all wrapped up in two or three chapters. Nobles, officials, institutional reforms, kingdoms-none of that was described.
Just an open-ended happy ending.
It felt like there wasn't much difference from the World Government. The world had simply changed masters...
Never mind whether the system was abolished or whether nobles still existed. Destroying Imu and the World
