After securing the consent of both people involved, Kiritsugu Emiya began explaining where the operation would take place:
"We currently know of two sets of leyline readings. The larger one is in the Amazon Rainforest in South America, while the smaller one is in Siberia, Russia."
As soon as he finished speaking, Maiya Hisau advanced the projected presentation to the next slide: an aerial photograph.
A small town stood amid a landscape of ice and snow, with only a few wisps of cooking smoke silently attesting to the fact that people still lived there.

"Hang on, Uncle Emiya. I have a question-permafrost sediment year-round? Isn't that town practically inside the Arctic Circle?"
"Correct." Kiritsugu Emiya nodded. "Gray River Town's coordinates are 64°12′N, 118°37′..."
"Only a little over two hundred kilometers from the Arctic Circle? Seriously?" Before Kiritsugu Emiya could finish, Shinji Matou had already murmured in surprise.
"The distance... huh? Shinji, how did you calculate that so fast?"
Sovell suddenly realized that, despite being over a thousand years old, he was slower at calculating on his fingers than a high school student like Shinji Matou. (Note 1)
Just then, Sakura discreetly poked Sovell and spoke softly, though loudly enough for everyone to hear:
"You probably haven't heard
