Controlling the Space Bubble, Luo Qi took one last look at his masterpiece. He had drawn a "line," folding a distance of 30,000 light-years for humanity.
An outsider entering would have to travel 30,000 light-years to reach the stellar system, but leaving required only a single step backward.
This would drive an alien civilization with insufficient mental fortitude to collapse, unless it too had mastered spatial technology.
He began examining his current state: a small, independent universe.
Using the spatial spacecraft as control nodes, he delineated the distance between the conventional universe and the universe within his individual universe bubble. It could expand into a system spanning seventeen light-years or shrink until a single particle took its place.
The universe bubble existed within the conventional universe, yet it was also an independent cosmos. It inherited every rule of the conventional universe: beyond light speed lay the high-energy, Fifth Dimension universe, while below the low-energy threshold lay the low-energy, three-dimensional universe.
Through the complex entanglement of the rules governing spatial dimensions, Luo Qi now existed in both the conventional universe and his individual universe.
He drew together all his replicas within the universe bubble, leaving himself as its sole collective consciousness entity.
Inside the Giraffe Constellation universe bubble, the enormous war star rested in space. The harvesting ships responsible for maintenance, the various research centers, and all the other technological creations had ceased operating, like husks stripped of their souls.
Only the spatial nodes supporting the universe bubble continued operating according to their established programs.
Luo Qi prepared a new plan-a plan to give himself a "body."
This was the ultimate idea he had arrived at while using cosmic strings as a computer, manipulating particles into oscillating and spinning at different frequencies to store information and perform calculations.
